  1. So here's where we're at. Get off the plane. Find the "airport doctor" (is there such a thing?). Get the doctor's order to not fly on the connecting flight. Give it to the airline. They somehow "find" the luggage, set it aside and the passenger then claims it. What did I miss? Unless the layover is three plus hours, it ain't going to happen.
  2. It will vary. They are posted in the dailies, but those aren't always correct. The bar has been open in the buffet for my last three cruises, which makes it easy to start the day with a Bloody Mary, Screwdriver or Mimosa.
  3. I've made a great deal of "friends" by finding the good piano players and just hanging out having a few drinks and enjoying the fun. People of similar minds tend to gravitate to the same venues/artists for multiple nights. Folks having fun together tend to quickly become friends.
  4. I opt out of a butler on every single cruise I take.
  5. Not really. The steak either tastes good or it doesn't. My "attitudes and expectations" have nothing to do with it.
  6. Does anybody in that photo look like they're having fun?
  7. Nobody knows, because it's either one or the other. You don't get to choose.
  8. Best post of the thread!! I like to get settled in a bar and eventually find my room (perhaps for a nap).
  9. So your plan is to go to dinner, have a single glass of wine, and then retire to your room? That doesn't sound like much fun.
  10. I once ordered a steak in the MDR and to call it shoe leather would be unfair to the shoe. That said, have you had good steaks there? If so, I might try it again. Steaks are very inconsistent on NCL. I've had fantastic steaks in Cagneys and LeBistro. I've had awful steaks in Cagney's and Ocean Blue. I've had both good and bad in the Local.
  11. Yeah, but they would just add the average cost to each cruiser. I eat as much as the next man, and drink at least twice as much, so I would win that game!
  12. So you'll pay full retail price for used clothing and possibly deprive somebody in a future room from having the robe that they are ENTITLED to? Yeah, I can dig it. The only winner is the evil NCL, which helps them to continue to provide peasants like me with outstanding cruises at reasonable prices. 😎
  13. Nobody needs a doctor's order to miss a connection. I believe that the luggage is the main concern.
  14. Yeah, I knew what you meant. Just joking around. 🤣
  15. I hope for a price drop on every cruise that I book. 😎
  16. Has anybody in the past several years reported that somebody at the port actually looked at their assigned port-arrival time?
  17. Priority check in means that once through security, you get in an express line to the check in counter. Priority embarkation means you are called to board before group 1. This is how it has worked our last three cruises.
  18. Thx. This is a YMMV situation. I have one cruise that I don't wish to create an entirely new reservation due to room assignment. On two different days now an agent has tried to change the promo on the existing reservation. Twice they have told me that they were successful. Yet, the new invoice still just lists LATITUDE and not LATDBLX. It's only seven points, so not a big deal. I'll find out after the cruise how much I really earned, but I'm pretty sure it will just be one bonus point.
  19. That's what they told me as well, until I checked the new invoice they sent me. Have you verified that you now have an invoice that includes LATDBLX? Thanks.
  20. Yep. My strategy is to cruise as often as possible. Pure odds dictate that one of them will be an official 🐀 journey. I just missed you and our great friend by a few weeks in October. 🥲
  21. They didn't take a new one for us at MCT in October.
