  1. Are you sure you want to wait until tomorrow? Prices can change (literally) overnight.
  2. Well, it's a 50% off sale now! That said, have you happened to recheck the prices of any existing NCL bookings today? Some are repricing at meaningful reductions. I personally repriced 9 future bookings today, and it was WELL worth my time.
  3. Elements was 7 and 9:30 a couple of weeks ago. Two shows the first night and only the early show the second night (the last night of the cruise). The early show was full the first night but had plenty of room the second.
  4. We had lobster/clam/shrimp rolls at Lukes a couple weeks ago. Very good! The bread was fantastic. Fall colors look about the same (i.e. really nice). 😎
  5. Yep. That was my point. Even a proctored Antigen would probably be acceptable. NCL just isn't likely to accept the results of a self test as justification to provide FCC for a cancelled cruise. I would think that with a proctored test result, they would have to provide compensation. Of course, we won't know until you try. Please keep us posted.
  6. We had the same thing on the Joy two weeks ago. I think they finally figured out that more people were locking themselves out of their rooms than were saving any electricity. Prior to that cruise, I had just been using my AAA card to turn the lights on.
  7. That's easier said than done. Sure, make certain that when you acquire a passport that it matches your full given name as documented on your birth certificate. Don't they require you to send in your birth certificate with the application? Beyond that, make sure that your first and last names match exactly. IIRC, back at megacorp, all travel arrangements HAD to be made through the megacorp travel system which, as you might have guessed, only allowed middle initial. It was literally impossible to have the airline reservations fully match my full name. Was it ever a problem? Of course not. Thousands of travelers every week and ziltch. If it was a problem, it would have been fixed immediately. Never was. Have we seen any first hand reports here of somebody not being allowed to board a flight because of a middle name problem? Or, is this just urban (internet) legend?
  8. I've only seen one. We were on the Epic heading back to PC and I had to get out of bed at something like three in the morning to see it. We were still a ways out but it was worth the effort. 😎
  9. Are you expecting the entire group of eight to agree on every single tour? We generally travel as a group of three and often have different preferences for tours. Might be best for folks to just choose and do their own things for at least some of the ports.
  10. So, you decided to book this cruise entirely because they served coke? That's just nuts.
  11. Interesting. I suppose if it were beer and the discussion was Guinness vs. Bud, I would understand. Oh well. Whatever works. 😎
  12. I just have to ask. Would Coke versus Pepsi really sway a decision on which cruise to book?
  13. Yeah, that's crazy. $75 for a too small fancy robe? Nope. That said, if the OP's husband wore it and loved it, probably not a bad choice for that situation.
  14. Yep. For some reason I was thinking the OP was talking strictly embarkation day (I think I confused it with another thread). I'm guessing that Food Republic would tend to be open on sea days as on other ships.
  15. I think that poster meant to say Osheehans.
  16. I think you need to either do everything through your TA or nothing. You're almost asking for trouble otherwise.
  17. Also laundry bag and Canadian customs form.
  18. I must have missed them, and I'm fairly certain that you were with my on the Joy two weeks ago. 😎 There were two gangways, so you must have entered on the one I didn't.
  19. Thanks for posting this. The Haven looks very nice, but I'm certain that it wouldn't be worth the cost of admission for me. It is for others, and that's just fine too. 😎
  20. On our Joy Canada sailing recently completed, it was the pool bar on 16, and not the buffet. It didn't make a lot of sense, but then neither does that goofy Canadian law. What was most irritating is that NCL decided not to have the buffet bar open on disembarkation day for anything other than soda. During our two prior AK cruises, we were able to get bloody Mary's et al during a leisurely breakfast while others made the mad (mad) rush to get off the ship.
  21. Having received the desired dramatic/clever response, YES!! 🤣
