  1. I have set up the Flowflex appt for next week for a "test run". but have not gone through it yet.  Good to know on laptop only on ihealth.  I was not aware but plan on bring my MacBook.  The dang thing is as thin as a tablet.   I need to check on the accuracy of flowflex as I am not aware.

My TA told me that if you take the test and you have a reading that is positive and or inconclusive, you can "lose" connection and start the process again.  I am not endorsing that tactic just saying it has been used effectively.

  2. From the Flowflex link I provided above.

FDA Emergency Use Authorized At-home rapid antigen tests can now be used by travelers to meet COVID testing requirements to enter the United States

At home antigen test results are now accepted by the CDC from travelers who are returning to the United States. Only tests that have received an Emergency Use Authorization such as the Flowflex™ SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Test (self-test) can be used for this purpose. You must take your test under video observation with ID verification and receive a validated result. AZOVA will provide you with these services.

  3. First off I feel horrible for @eel, but as he said trying to learn from their situation.

Since, my first cruise is coming up in a couple weeks let me ask this question.  When I purchased early last year we decided to use premium credit cards vs getting insurance do the many complaints I read on this board.(to cover for disruptions, medical emergencies etc)  Is there any recourse, credit card or travel insurance that covers someone in eel's situation given Viking's rules that go above and beyond local mandates?    If there is travel insurance that does cover, with 2 weeks left is it too late to purchase?

  4. In another thread we discussed very similar scenarios.  I will be signing up for Telehealth solutions where  we we can pick a time that works best for us then set up a video chat from my laptop to have a proctored Antigen test.  If we pass after the 15 minute allotted time they will email/send a update to phone app so that we approval to board our cruise.

  5. I see, I was under the impression that the ONLY 3 at home options that Viking would take were the 3 listed on the link (Azova, Binx, Dxterity)  Now that I reread I see that those were only examples.  Now to find some that you can do via video.  Thanks!

  6. Island Hopping,  I am in the same situation.  If you look at the main page this stop is supposed to have many more options though we only have 3.  I know Viking is doing their best but for those that paid for PV room and above to not even have the option is starting to tick me off.

  7. To follow up with the scenarios laid out on this thread we are flying to Prague 4 days early before arriving in Bergen the day before we embark.

Unfortunately as many others I misinterpreted the language and thought I could take a test in the US.  Is everyone in a similar situation just looking for a local test to take within 72 hours of boarding the cruise?

To be honest getting.a bit nervous in finding an appropriate facility etc etc.  I would appreciate any comments to calm my nerves

  8. In the May 6th departure we now have 9 of our 15 days in either Norway or Denmark, unfortunately not a lot of variety with the ports of call.  Totally understand it is not Viking's fault but this is definitely not what we signed up for.  Working with our agent to see what alternative options we have.
