I've stayed in an 022 cabin on a different deck, it's really quiet, hardly anyone needs to walk past. I was never disturbed by noise. Occasionally you hear music from the Dock if you are on the balcony but that's usually nice and not loud. It's really convenient for the Dock and going up to the Galley, almost no distance to get to the stairs or lifts. I would always choose a cabin in that location.

I like it too! Maybe it just doesn't suit the American palate (I'm from the UK). I find it similar to coffee I've had (and liked) in Scandinavia.

Can anyone please tell me which days menu A or B will be on offer at the Test Kitchen? We are coming up to our restaurant booking window but want to organise things so we get menu B. I think at one stage it was alternate days or 3 days on/off but I would love to hear from anyone who has sailed on RLin the last few weeks, thanks.

I'm doing the TA then the following MerMaiden cruise. As a European, would I have to go through immigration as well as customs before I got back on the ship or could that treat be saved until the end of the second voyage?

We arrived at the port in Barcelona in July just before midday and sat in the shade near the terminal. There were lots of passengers around, they were checking in luggage (we only had cabin bags so didn’t). It didn’t look they had just started doing this, it wouldn’t surprise me if they had started this much earlier as there will be plenty of people arriving early and they weren’t keen on people milling around the terminal, we got sent away when we got too close! We saw staff approaching people with suitcases and directing them to the baggage check in.

I called the test provider nph - it seems that we just do the test ourselves without video supervision, it sounds like the previous fit to fly/day 2 tests in the UK when we returned from overseas. Upload the photo of the negative test and get a certificate. I know people who used to do these tests without putting the swab anywhere near the nose! So pretty pointless. I'll find out for sure in a few days. Not sure what the deal is for non UK people. Maybe you could ask about local test provision on the Barcelona board on TripAdvisor? There are some helpful people on there.

Hi, we live in the UK and are going on a Mediterranean cruise on the Valiant Lady soon. We have been sent free lateral flow tests by Virgin Voyages. If anyone has done this, could you tell me if the tests are supervised (ie video call) or unsupervised. I had thought it was meant to be the former but looking at the app we have to download and the instructions in the email there is no mention of booking a video slot so maybe not? I'd be very grateful if anyone could let me know about their experience 🙂
