Thanks for the recommendations everyone! Definitely appreciate the input. The booster seat situation is a little more complicated because our daughter has always been in the lower 5% for weight. She recently turned 4 and is about 31 pounds so it has narrowed down our options quite a bit.

Ok so I am sure that I am stressing out about nothing but next February we are going to take our 4 year old her first flight and go on a cruise out of fort lauderdale. Anyone that has flown and then made transfers from airport to hotel and hotel to cruise have any tips? Should we bring our own car seat? Or just plan on using shuttles that won't require her to be in a car seat? We are flying in the day before and then will book a hotel. Any tips on hotels that have shuttle services in the area to and from the hotel? Also anyone have any favorite web sites for booking shuttles in advance since I am sure we will need to do that for at least the trip back to the airport post cruise. Or are there shuttles/taxis that we could utilize once we get off the boat that will just be lined up and ready to go? Sorry for lots of questions but I figured I might find some parents on here that have some relevant tips.

So we have a different situation here. My wife, 3 year old and I are cruising this Friday. Originally we booked 2 connecting rooms because there were no suites available. But we placed a royal up bid. We got that and now my daughter and I are listed in an owners suite while my wife is listed in her ocean view room. Called to see if they could just put all 3 of us in one room and then they could sell that ocean view room all over again. The only way they said we could do that would be to cancel and pay a bunch of money to add her as a third person to the room without getting any refund from the other room (we didn't want a refund just figured it's silly to keep it empty since none of us will set foot in there except to grab the room key). So when we check in can we check in on an expidited basis since 2 of the 3 of us are listed in a suite? Or do we do normal check in since my wife is still listed in a non suite room (but it's not like we are going to check in separately).

Hello everyone! We are going to be cruising in July with our 3 year old daughter. Its a short 4 day cruise (first one with our daughter so starting short to see if she likes them as mush as we do!) with only one stop in Halifax so we definitely want to get off the boat there. Is Halifax a good port to just get off and walk around to do things? We aren't planning on bringing a car seat so it would be nice if there are things close by that we could walk off the boat to see. Any tips on Halifax near the port itself? Also if anyone has any tips on cruising with a 3 year old we would love to hear them as well!
