  1. Thanks for the info! We do hope to do a snorkeling trip or two. And hoping for the river tubing. What to wear, what to wear!
  2. We usually do our own airfare, but we're flying at Christmas, 12/23 & 1/5 and with weather and crowds we wanted Viking to be working for us if travel got messed up. The flights we got are ones we would have chosen and are $500 cheaper/person than we could get. We're not flying until the end of December and our flights showed up on AA at least two months ago and we've already been able to change our seats. No complaints yet.
  3. With many beach/water excursions on this cruise, what do you wear off the ship? Are there always places to change or do you wear swim wear from the beginning? I did read somewhere that you can grab a towel from the pool area to take with you. Thanks.
  4. We are on the Barcelona to Buenos Aires repositioning cruise (Jupiter) and are doing daily testing. We were not allowed to get off at Casa Blanca because covid rates were greater than 1%. Senegal had already been scraped so no Africa. We did go to Mediera and Cape Verde Islands instead. Hopefully South America will let us stop.
  5. I asked Viking if they'd have Paxlovid onboard and this was their response, "We do not treat Covid on board the ship. If the guest requires a specific medication for Covid, they will be treated at a shoreside medical facility." We're on a repositioning cruise with five days at sea crossing the Atlantic--won't help any one sick at that time.
