Just off Celebrity and wow did I miss Princess!

That is just crazy, unless it’s the cleanup fee. That I could understand. -
Anyone have experience being wait listed for a cruise?
PescadoAmarillo replied to ddvgww's topic in Princess Cruises
We have seen exactly this happen several times. The sky is basically the fare limit when it comes to waitlisted cruises. -
Do I need to sit and wait for my OceanNow order
PescadoAmarillo replied to Silverspringcruiser's topic in Princess Cruises
This has been my experience too. I unintentionally caused a crew member some angst when I ordered water bottles while in our cabin, thinking they would be delivered to the cabin, like room service would be. Then I ran down to the front desk to turn in a disembarkation form and was shocked when the crew member showed up there with my water bottles. Honestly, I have no idea how to order water bottles to be delivered to our cabin the way we used to. Is it even possible? Do I have to just call room service instead using Ocean Now? This was on the second last day of my last cruise, so I haven’t had to do it since, but I’m really not sure what to do when I need to. -
Additional Deposit Required To Reprice A Cruise?
PescadoAmarillo replied to nafss's topic in Princess Cruises
I, too, have found wait times to be down on my most recent calls. Still, the questions remain: Can I hear the agent? Can I understand the agent? Does the agent actually know enough to be able to answer my questions? When I get the hat-trick I buy a lotto ticket. -
Popping in here to say that if your cabin is directly against a bulkhead where the room numbers change from X200 series to X100 series, you will hear noise from the Princess Theater up to Baja Deck. That is because there is a hollow area above the Princess Theater stage where scenery is pulled up and stored that goes up to Caribe Deck. It basically becomes an echo chamber and any noise from the theater (or the scenery itself in rough seas) reverberates in there. If you are not against that bulkhead, you’re probably okay as long as you are above Deck 8.

These are the only shoes I’ve worn on ships for over 15 years (mine are black patent leather). If wearing them is wrong, I don’t want to be right.

We have gotten those notices and still received the medallion by mail. We’ve gotten them and not received the medallion. I can count on two fingers the number of times we have received the medallion as we were supposed to. It’s not a show stopper at all, just irritating that they are so screwed up after more than four years.

Cancelled a cruise - still shows in account

I would be wondering that same thing. -
Cancelled a cruise - still shows in account
PescadoAmarillo replied to Alaska05's topic in Princess Cruises
When you say it still shows up in your account, do you mean online or in the app? Online my cancelled cruises have always disappeared within a day and the FCD becomes active in that same timeframe. On the app cancellations can take a week or longer to disappear. -
Has anyone kept medication in med center freezer?
PescadoAmarillo replied to PescadoAmarillo's topic in Princess Cruises
Thank you for that info. I was under the impression a block of ice was passable. I will use a small blue ice pack in a zip loc bag to get through security, then place the blue ice and eye drops in a metal water bottle and add ice cubes from the airport lounge. I really don’t want to carry a cooler for such a small item, and the insulated water bottle should work well. -

But will a small block of ice in a ziploc bag pass through? -
@Thrak, your lovely story reminded me a great deal of my first rabbit, a dwarf named Louie who weighed about 4 pounds. Louie got sick, and, for the first time in my life (not being an animal person, as I am allergic to every thing that lives, including some humans) I took him to a vet. He needed surgery. Later that day I was driving to work thinking that I’d just spent over $1000 to save an animal some people eat for dinner. The things we do…

I hate to be the exception to every one of your rules, but…. 😆 100-150 days a year on Princess for ten years. Now I cruise maybe 20 or 30 days, and recently even less (and only because my spouse is still a fan). Not ill, not dead. Just over them for the most part. And I have several friends who have called it quits altogether. My point is: it does happen, absent illness or death. The recent changes have taken a toll. -

That’s mostly been our experience, too, with the exceptions far too few to mention. Of course, if talk involves travel (a natural topic, one would think, on a cruise), you’ll hear others here complaining that people are bragging about how much they’ve traveled. Personally, I’d rather talk about travel than a lot of other potential topics. But, really, how hard is it to direct the conversation in a different direction if the current topic displeases you? If one person monopolizes a conversation, the others have only themselves to blame. -
I wish @cherylandtk would pop on here to answer definitely (she is the oracle of all things PVP), but my understanding and what has happened to us in the past is that the portion of your upcoming trip paid for using FCCs from a prior insurance claim is NOT covered. I have the same situation, using last year’s FCCs from CFAR claims to pay for an upcoming cruise, and I just have to hope that nothing stops me from going.

The app is c$ap when it comes to B2B bookings. It was four years ago and it still is. We have never been able to make dining reservations with B2B bookings; it always says nothing is available although others who are booked for a single cruise have no issues. If the B2B bookings include one guest leaving the ship after a cruise or two, or coming onboard after the first cruise or two, the app nearly explodes. My husband was once asked by a waiter if I was joining him for dinner. My photo still showed up as cruising with him though I had gotten off the ship on the prior turnaround.

Has anyone kept medication in med center freezer?
PescadoAmarillo replied to PescadoAmarillo's topic in Princess Cruises
I just got an answer on this and wanted to share it here in case it helps someone else in the future. I had emailed Guest Medical at the address @PacnGoNow posted above on Sunday. On Monday they responded that they were forwarding my email to the Access Department. Good day, Thank you for contacting Guest Medical. This email is being forwarded to the Access Department. The email is, Access OfficePrincess <accessofficeprincess@princesscruises.com> Today (Friday) I received this email from the Access Department. It sounds like they will be able to accommodate my request. I’m not sure if I get charged for the appointments to drop off and pick up the eye drops (hopefully not!). We look forward to welcoming you onboard! Thank you for your loyalty. Regarding refrigeration, each stateroom is equipped with a small cooler. The coolers in each stateroom are kept at about 45 degrees F/7 degrees C to about 37.4 degrees F/3 degrees C when the room is at an average temperature (about 77 degrees F/25 degrees C). The temperature may vary slightly. The on-board medical centers may be able to store some refrigerated spare medications not required on a daily basis that may not fit in the stateroom coolers. All medication should be labeled with the guest’s name and cabin number. Access to any medication stored in the medical center is during clinic hours only and by appointment only. The Medical Center uses an appointment-based system for non-urgent needs. Appointments can be made after embarking the vessel by following the guidelines provided onboard. Guests storing refrigerated/frozen medication in the ship’s medical center do so at their own risk. Access to the Medical Center is by appointment only. While onboard the guests can call to make an appointment to collect meds etc from fridge/freezer. If you have any accessibility or mobility questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind regards, Staci M. Accessible Experience Specialist Princess Cruises Email: accessofficeprincess@princesscruises.com Thank you all for your input. Happy cruising!
