  1. Tip: Go to the German website and status match it via their form. The German officed matched my status within 1 day. I don't see any reason why a canadian customer can't upload the hotel status via the German form. https://www.msccruises.de/buchung-verwalten/msc-voyagers-club/status-match
  2. Hello, I would like to book lastminute the MSC Fantasia on the route Trieste to Marseille, before the Grand Yoyage to South America. The Cruise goes is 5 nights Trieste => Seaday => Messina => Neapel => Civ.(Rom) => Marseille. I have now the following options: A) BB - Bella Balcony With the chance of a cabin of obstructed view. (A friend of mine booked and got a balcony with obstructed view). B) BL1 - Fantastica With 8061, 8062, 8065, 8207, 8209, 8210, 8222, 8257 C) BL3 - Fantastica With 12182, 12184, 12186, 12190, 12194, 12196, 12213 As it's a last minute booking I am not so satisfied with any of these options. The next best option for me seems to be 8062 on the right hand side with glas balcony (with a small steel edge). Other options would be to choose 12194. Hoping for some advice. Thanks Aeroplex
  3. Usually here in Germany, there is the Cruise + All Inclusive offer, where EASY package costs exactly 20€ per day. For a 17 night cruise it would be at 340€ for Easy and the Plus Upgrade 17 * 12,5 = 215€ = 555€ for everything. So 32,5€ per night for Easy Plus and not 52€ which is a huge markup. So for me 860€ on the US or Canadian market is clearly a little bit overpriced. I mean you even book it in advance and not on the cruiseship. For example 7 night cruise, price difference of Special and Special All in are 140€ per person^^
  4. Hello, unfortunately I can't find any rates or information about the internet package. Even on mycosta, there is no option to book. 😉 Hope to find some help here. Thanks
  5. If you say you want to enjoy the bottle in the cabin/balcony ^^, it will be given to you sealed. It should also be possible to take beer off-board.
  6. You can ask your steward to empty the mini bar, if it isn't included. Then you can ask for beer bottles sealed to enjoy it from your mini bar / balcony. Then I would suggest to order bottled water or other sealed beverages for all the excursions. ^^ Enjoy
  7. Even in a last minute booking you can try to match the status. I uploaded my hotel status on 19.9 got matched on 20.9. I called MSC Germany and asked if they can update my ticket to diamond. It was just a click on the computer of the MSC employer responsible for voyagers club. But the price is the same, you won’t get 5% discount that way. currently there seems to be a classic to silver and silver to gold matching event in Germany. Don’t know it for UK.
  8. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I was just a little bit fascinated about the fact too book easy plus for 2 beer brands. Still 1200 CAD is 900€ which is almost 52€ per day ( are you sure the 1200 CAD is correct?). But in the end it’s your holiday so enjoy and have a lot of drinks haha
  9. Could you please explain to me as a low / medium drinker how much you have to drink to make it worth 300 ?😃
  10. Main dining room 😉 As we always had drink packages. I didn't know if there is tap water available.
  11. Hello, just a hypothetical question. Imagine someone is really on a budget and has no drink package. Is anything like table water free at the a la carte restaurant at lunch / dinner? If not, can you order water by glas? The best option I know would be 1l still or sparkling water for around 4 € / USD Thanks 😉
  12. In one youtube Video someone even got 2 half portion of side dishes in the Butchers Cut and I got refused. 😭 Had to pay 3€ extra. So take a camera / go pro with you and say you are an cruis blogger^^

👀 In my english vocabulary, I will add *trust fund baby*.
  14. Try to book on a cruise / route with only 0 or 20% single occupancy fee. So you both can book 1 cabin. Otherwise you will pay for 4 person. For that price you are in range to book a suite I guess.
  15. Hello everyone, let’s start with my favorite topic which is food. What was your favorite dish on your MSC cruise? (Everyone is entitled to post 1 dish). Mine was the Bone Marrow: - Butchers Cut - Starter Dish
  16. I have studied the menus in depth and the top choice is the Butchers Cut Tasting Menu 😉 with the following options: - Bone Marrow (as starter = 14€) - Lamb Chops (as main dish = 39€) - Lava Cake (as dessert = 8€) => 39€ tasting menu with single items worth of 61€ Each butcher's menu is served with fresh baked bread rolls. Picture 1: Bone Marrow - very delicious and tasty - even better than the 15€ one I have eaten at (Naše maso a 4.7/5 star butcher restaurant in prague) - like snails some of my European friends say, how can you eat something like that. But I swear to you it is so delicious 😆 (it's the most delicious dish on the whole MSC fleet) Picture 2: We picked 1 x lamb chops and 1 x filet mignon with spinach and jalapenos corn. The main dish comes with 4 sauces. You don't have to decide. They will just bring it automatically. Picture 3: The second time we ate at the butchers cut. We shared a menu as only 1 menu was free, because we had separate cabins. We ordered a lobster soup and an additional side dish and shared the 400g lam chops + the dessert.
  17. Hello, I'm cruising on the Costa Favolosa for the 11 night cruise in november this year to interesting destinations like Casablanca, Tanger, Cadiz, Malaga and so on. On Mycosta there is an offer "MyExploration" - 139€ for 1 full day excursion and 2 half day excursion. Well sounds nice but most the interesting excursions are blacked out. Even some half day tours for 60€. At some destination everything is blacked out. Fortunately I should be able to cancel the package until 3 days before the cruise. Example for Tanger, every excursion are blacked out (you have to pay extra). What do you think? Aeroplex
