  1. Or you can follow the topic, but I wouldn't mind seeing this thread pinned/stickied, too. cjr
  2. This is how we handle gratuities, as well, i.e., "above-and-beyond service." This can include anyone, from the butler to the adult-bevvy server in the Ocean View Cafe, and anyone in between. We've been uber-impressed with our room attendant (more than our butler) on our last two cruises, so we've made a point of tipping them extra. Our upcoming cruise next week will be the first without prepaid gratuities but I don't expect any significant difference from past experiences, other than paying that bill at the end of the cruise. cjr
  3. Yeah, I suspect you're referring to this one. It's all I can find on the Celebrity site now but it's very poor, imo. cjr Drink-Packge-Comparison-Flyer.pdf
  4. This is the Future Cruise offer included in our Guest Ticket Booklet for our cruise in two-ish weeks... According to this, we have six months again, as we had last year on our cruise. The main change I see: the $100 deposit is now non-refundable. Otherwise, the OBC is the same. Hope this helps, cjr FUTURE_CRUISE.pdf
  5. Celebrity used to provide a very helpful PDF of the specific booze included under Classic and Premium, @Tom and Ingrid, but I can't locate it now. (If anyone can, please post the URL here.) All I can find is a very general description that doesn't use brand names. The PDF I've attached is the helpful menu, as of May 23, when I downloaded it. Hopefully the packages haven't changed too much when we head out on our next cruise in a few weeks. Hope this helps, cjr DRINK_PACKAGES_2024MAY23.pdf
  6. ☝️☝️☝️ This is a concern based on the image you posted @TT304. It varies, but I've found the main outlet on Celebrity ships features a slightly recessed access for the prongs (see photo). I use a corded hub, as others in this thread have suggested, and find it's more secure vs. a heavier brick-like unit with prongs, and seems unaffected by the slight outlet recess. Hope this helps, cjr
  7. If your cruise is booked and you're within the necessary time period (seems to vary a bit based on posts here), then the Celebrity app will guide you through the check-in process, @DB2VA. We're due to check in for our cruise next month, but per the app for my cruise, it's the usual passport scan and selfie; selecting an arrival time; and then answering some simple health-status questions the day before departure. You'll also need to do some simple stuff via the app once onsite, such as watching the safety video, listening to the distress signal, etc., but it's very basic. Sounds like you found the info you need to check in, though, but hope this helps just in case. cjr
  8. This is an ongoing, aggravating aspect of booking with Celebrity, unfortunately, but the post by @cyntil8ing is the answer. In fact, I just checked our upcoming cruise to verify our booze/wifi packages. That said, I wish Celebrity would fix this online. Makes no sense why I'm offered pre-cruise discounts for stuff already included/paid for. Hope you can "verify" your packages soon and that you enjoy your cruise! cjr
  9. Very interesting info. Thank you for sharing this! cjr
  10. My wife and I cruised the Caribbean via Celebrity and particularly enjoyed St. Johns, Antigua. That included a catamaran excursion that made a few stops among various beach locales, as well as a delicious lobster lunch onboard. Stunning waters and island scenery aboard the catamaran. At one of the beach stops, we enjoyed the view in the photo below 🥰 Hope this helps! cjr
  11. This crossed my mind recently -- seems like most of the Celebrity promo emails I receive lately push Caribbean jaunts. Thanks for posting this. cjr
  12. Can't believe I missed that whopper of a typo, @Essiesmom 😆 Thanks for sharing that! cjr
  13. When comparing costs, it's important to remember that both Celebrity packages (Classic/Premium) include water, coffees, juices, sodas and teas, as well. Even if you only want something from the latter, there will still be a cost involved, whether per-beverage or via one of Celebrity's NA packages. Regardless of what price you pay on any cruise line, it's probably fair to say it's not losing money on any beverage you choose 😉 cjr
  14. This is the one that grabs me: "In-suite, guests can enjoy... a complimentary stocked minibar." 🥳 cjr
  15. This is from the Celebrity site... cjr
  16. If I remember correctly, on one side of the Silhouette Retreat Sundeck (port, if I recall), there's an exit door in the central area that leads to an elevator. It's not used often because most people enter/exit via the stairs on either side of the sundeck. The elevator worked just fine the one time we used it a few years ago. cjr
  17. Yes. It's a "half-deck" lower at the bow of the ship, accessible via some stairs. Very nice area that also includes restrooms and deck chairs along glass -- great view when departing. In the photo, I'm standing on the upper part of the Retreat Sundeck, at the top of the stairs taking the photo, and the hot tub is just out of view at the bottom of the photo. cjr
  18. Unless something has changed, the Retreat Sundeck checked our drink package via our cards in order to identify/learn our drink package. That was on a two-week cruise and, after several days of frequenting this awesome space, the staff stopped asking us 👼 You will need a drink package. cjr
  19. If your Move Up bid succeeds, you will not receive an upgrade on your WiFi or drink package to whatever would come "standard" with your suite if you had just purchased the suite originally. We took advantage of a Celebrity Move Up offer to a suite a few years ago and didn't realize this until we were onboard. Not a big deal but good to know. Hope this helps, cjr
  20. Agree. Monitoring this thread is probably the most reliable way to discover/take advantage of the CC PUP offers. cjr
  21. Yes, after scouring my Celebrity account settings, hoping to disable that behavior, I ended up disabling it on my Apple stuff, as well. I thought I would feel annoyed that I had to selectively click "load remote content" for each email if I wished, but it really hasn't been a problem. Moreover, the Celebrity emails no longer grate on my nerves! 🥳 cjr
  22. I can tell you that I signed up again for the CC emails and am receiving the usual number of near-daily promos in my inbox. No CC "offer" yet, nor any notation of my/our CC status on anything I've received. The other "mystery" I'd like to solve is how to eliminate the epilepsy-inducing emails Celebrity is sending recently, as well as the music accompanying it. The constant photo-changes are distracting, and the music is just too much... 😄 cjr
