  1. Ugh, of course they would let you reserve anything that requires payment ahead of time. Wow, I didn't know you had to pay extra to reserve at the Two70 shows this time. Is North Star no longer free on Port Days (I know they cost extra on sea days)???
  2. The steam rooms and saunas are still free to use at the gym.
  3. Greetings! I'll be sailing on the Odyssey in 80 days. I haven't been on a Quantum-class ship since last year, and I know reservations are required for shows and certain activities. Can all reservations be made once your online check-in is done through your app, or do they need to be done as soon as you get on board the ship? If they can only be done on-board, can you do it through the app or you must reserve through somebody? I plan on reserving "270" shows, North Star, Roller Skating, and Laser Tag in case anyone asks. Thanks!
  4. Hello! Will be on MSC Meraviglia in early February of next year out of Brooklyn, USA. Is there an extra charge for ordering any additional entrees, appetizers, or desserts in the main dining room?
  5. Ok, we might try that on the 2nd day then. Thanks!
  6. Hello. All Platinum members get a free $25 Casino FunPlay. On the Venezia, do you only get this at the Casino by signing up? Is this loaded onto your Sail & Sign card or do they give you cash? Lastly, if you're not a frequent gambler, is there a possibility of having this transferred to non-refundable on-board credit at guest services?
  7. Hello! For those who had breakfast in the Solarium Bistro, did they omelettes there or do you have to go to the WindJammer to get them? I'll be sailing in November. Thanks!
  8. Good morning to you! Two days ago, my dad and I booked a JetSki shore excursion from Carnival's website for Half Moon Cay. We don't book excursions very often, but whenever we consider them, we usually book online in case spots sell out quickly (which has happened - especially on Royal) before we go on-board. Luckily you can cancel for a full refund up to two days before your cruise departure in case you find out weather conditions may not be comfortable. We NEVER book activities with 3rd party. I don't mean to go off-track on you, but do you plan on doing any specialty dining reservations too? I booked online too (in favor of my parents' anniversary) in case time slots sell out before getting on-board (I noticed some slots got closed out too).
  9. Thank you for your thorough response and experience! All of this will be noted in the event we end up docking there due to weather-related reasons. AH
  10. Good to know! Fun fact - I'm originally from Jersey, but had to go where the job is. Anyways, I'm glad you had fun on your last experience. Hopefully we meet on-board!
  11. Greetings! I'll be on the MSC Meraviglia next early February 2025 out of Brooklyn. I was going through reviews on this ship, and noticed that some of them mentioned that due to the inclement weather around MSC's Ocean Cay Island, they docked in Miami instead. Those reviews also mentioned that everyone regardless of US citizenship had to disembark and go through a chaotic immigration system. Did this happen to you? Were you also docked in a spot where you had to take a taxi to wherever you wanted to go?
  12. Thank you for the info!! Also, your food pictures look very appetizing. Well done! -AH
  13. Hello! For those who dined at that specialty restaurant, is there an extra charge if someone orders MORE than one entree from II Viaggio?
  14. Very thorough review! Thanks for sharing; I'm going to hold off on sailing this until they get rid of their "premium" charge. I understand why they're charging a "premium" for this ship, but that's out of my budget and expectation.
