Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. From personal experience avoid connecting cabins if possible. If your neighbors are loud it’s a real problem. Our neighbor said he was hard of hearing and needed the TV loud.
  2. Thanks to everyone. Sounds like a PCL mistake.
  3. Did not use at TA. Called PCL directly this AM.
  4. Just booked a 2025 22-day cruise and Princess used 2 FCDs from DW and 2 FCDs from me (total $400) to secure the deposit. Clearly shows $400 on Booking Confirmation and shows 2 FCD taken on the Capitan Circle page for each passenger. Thought it was $100 per person (or 1 FCD) per person? Has the FCD amount needed to book changed?
  5. Best to book with Princess. Be sure to request “do not upgrade” for both voyages, otherwise PCL might upgrade one voyage and not the other. in regard to dining, on first voyage just chat with MDR staff and share you will be along for the next voyage. It is fun to just walk into the MDR on the first night of the second voyage and have a seat in the middle of the other chaos.
  6. Emerald deck suites do hear the thump, thump from the vista lounge. Not too bad, but noticeable
  7. TheCrown was the last ship not to finally have the wall mounted big, flat screenTVs. Has this finally been remedied? Thanks
  8. This is, more than anything, just a marketing tag for persons PCL has identified as casino patrons. Like elite benefits consider having low expectations. https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/onboard-experience/activities/casino/princess-players-club-vip/
  9. With apologies…. an ultimate vip cruise in an inside cabin seems like an oxymoron
  10. This Cruise Critic community spends thousands of posts annually on this topic. We are asked what should I do and the best advice and safest advice is always the same: get a passport. What puzzles me are the people who can’t be bother to get a passport yet expect a last minute magic solution on cruise critic. Sometimes there are simply consequences for poor decisions and poor forethought
  11. Thank you. As I thought, SOME closed loop cruises do not require a US Passport BUT some closed loop cruises do. Extraordinary care is required to avoid a disaster at embarkation. As always, a U.S. Passport always works.
  12. Does not a closed loop cruise from Florida that includes Columbia require a US Passport? Maybe something changed??
  13. For extra long voyages (30+ days) we take large suitcases. Simply "butterfly" the large suitcase, place any smaller suitcases into the left/right side of the butterflied case, and push under the bed.
