So this is the first time I’ve ever been like “100% nope” after reading about a spot someone has visited.
Hope you guys recover and B is okay. I’m pretty sure “serenity now” would be my motto for this day if I were in your shoes.

Enjoying another great live. Finally caught up (helped pass the time with my multiple delays in the airport after our own cruise).
Enjoy and have fun (and a few more buffaloes).

I hope you are having better luck with flights! We are 2-2 on being delayed.
Safe travels!

Loved this live review! Helped get me through my last week of school and get ready for my cruise Saturday!
Best of luck, and welcome back to Texas!

Excited to follow along. Excited for the end of the school year (we have graduation tomorrow and a half day Friday plus another week I’m on contract). Ready for my own cruise in 17 days. I hope your year ended on a positive note or will.
Very sorry to hear about your loss. Nothing easy about dealing with any of it.

Found this late, but excited to catch up. It also gives me something to get through my last week with students on campus.
I can’t wait to hear more dad stories, and I hope you have (had) a wonderful time!

Excited to follow along and hear from you again! This school year has been extra draining, but kudos to you for sticking up for the student (I am very sorry for the response you got). Always enjoy your pictures, anecdotes, and wittiness.
Be safe, and have fun!

Have a blast! We are still holding on to school on Monday and Tuesday around here, so pour one out (or down your throat) for those of with kids still this week.

Excited to follow along. Sorry the year has been rough. This year has been interesting for sure. As for your bathroom issues at school…we had a backed up toilet “leaking” into the room below it and had a freshman literally playing in the brown water running down the wall.

Really enjoying this review and all the pics you guys take. Such a fun experience! Sailing out of New York is definitely on my short list of next cruises to plan.

Excited to follow along. We did a tram tour at the top of the mountain in Icy Straight this June and both the tram and the walking tour groups were not on time. We had an early one scheduled (I think 9:30), and they were already running 30-45 minutes behind. I don’t know if that’s normal but it might be something to be aware of if going for a full day of things there. Also, got to see a friend.

I’m always envious when I’m still working on June 30, knowing there are schools that have been out for weeks by that point.
In Vancouver, we don’t get paid to work before the students start. Teachers go in and set up their classrooms and do some prep on their own time.
So what I’m hearing is we should all start in September and all be out by the end of May. I mean, to be fair and equitable and all that.

There are also cruises at Thanksgiving Break, winter break, spring break…
(I’m an enabler!)
We go back Sept 5.
I am all about being enabled on this. I’ve got my eye on a spring break cruise. The only thing holding me back is disembarkation is the day before we go back to school. I usually prefer a buffer day or two to settle after a vacation.
I am envious of the later start you guys have. Our students started back Tuesday with most teachers and staff a week and a half before that.

Thank you for what you do as an administrator! The listening, the problem solving, the parents (oh, the parents!) I hope you had a rejuvenating summer! Did you cruise?
Thank you! Amazing teachers and staff make all the difference. When do you go back? If you answered that earlier, and I feel like you did, I apologize.
I did my first cruise this past June, an Alaskan out of Vancouver. An amazing cruise and amazing city to cruise out of (I wish I would have planned more time in Vancouver). As soon as we got back I booked another cruise for next summer (Western Caribbean).

Thank you! What do you teach?
My dad is doing well. He is happy I’m home safely. We don’t live in the same city and I’ll see him on Saturday.
So glad to hear. I’m sure you’re both excited to reconnect!
I am an administrator now. Before that I was a school counselor, and before that I taught English/Language Arts. I also appreciate a good library.

Thanks for taking us along. For one already back in school (where students are also back), this has been a pleasant distraction. I wish you the best this year, and I hope your dad is doing great!

I tried Firefox today from both phone and pc, neither worked. So frustrating. My bank said it's definitely on AARPs side as they don't even see any attempts come through. I'll keep trying.
I read somewhere that the AARP site didn’t play nice with Google payment, so when I used Firefox, I made sure to input my card manually. I also couldn’t get it to work with the Firefox phone app. It is frustrating to have to find work Rounds to make it work.

Hey @Elaine5715Were you able to complete a purchase transaction?
I'm having issues with the AARP website.
I was never able to purchase these on Chrome on my PC or at all on my phone (safari). But when I used Firefox on my PC I could get it to work without getting an error.

I am really enjoying following along with you. As a fellow educator already back at work for the year, I might be slightly envious! But seriously, thank you for sharing.
I’m sorry the food hasn’t been the best. I sincerely hope it gets better. I am considering booking NCL for the third cruise my family takes, and I have gone back and read many of your reviews now, so I know this isn’t the norm (although I have been reading many others say they have noticed a “downgrade” in services lately).
I hope your dad is well, and I look forward to reading about more of your adventures (both on this trip and hopefully in the future).- 2

Thank you. I’ve never used gift cards on a cruise line before so wasn’t sure if it could be applied to the booking cost. One more thought, then, what is the limit on cards you can purchase or apply?
When I just looked, there is a 25 card limit per month you can buy from AARP. But they have both $100 (for 90) and $500 (for 450).

Excited to follow along with yo; I hope you have a fabulous time. Really thinking I may book Princess for my next cruise. Crazy that you are just getting out of school, and I go back in a week.
Stay safe, and I hope you get some awesome food experiences that match your needs.
