  1. True consent is the most important factor. It's not that you're banned from drinking, it's more that alcohol wil have a greater effect in the immediate and you may feel absolutely lousy the following day. A glass of wine with dinner eg. would be fine.
  2. These occasions are what we need to remind ourselves of when we've had a few too many interactions with.... ahem...@&#%ers in one day. Most people are in fact GOOD 🙂
  3. Yvonne, you NEED to write a book!!!! This coming from(cover your ears)not an avid reader🤫. I have so enjoyed your, absolutely brimming with life, live from. Your writing paints a more vivid picture than your beautiful photos. How is this possible when supposedly a picture paints a thousand words?? Thank you for sharing your feelings unashamedly and allowing us all to accompany you on this journey; with all of it's comedy and tragedy. Love your attitude of rolling with the punches but also not being afraid to stand up for yourself when needed and appropriate. "You can't win them all" Wishing you a safe homeward journey and for many more epic voyages of joyful discovery.(Please keep us posted) also a hug for Dad x
  4. I have to disagree here. I LOVE seaside rock. Especially the fruity one but love mint also. But it needs to be HARD none of that soft nonsense. It's meant to be hard, so that you are praying that you don't need to visit the dentist afterwards. The clue is in the title. Another britishism, you will often hear Brits saying "if you cut me in the middle, it will have(insert school, country, town, team etc)going all the way through."
  5. What could possibly go wrong? Not a life jacket in sight😅
  6. Before I got to this post, I was thinking, "I wish I'd told you to catch the ferry across the harbour" as I knew you were going to Weymouth today. Now I feel real bad. 🫠
  7. Britishism of the thread 😆❤️
  8. I remember being able to visit someone in hospital and merely go to the "end" of the ward to have a fag with them. :0
  9. Finally poking myself out of lurking this forum. As an ex-smoker/now vaper, I fully support no inside smoking but feel there should be at least 1 outdoor(right at the back,at the top, next to the bins, wherever for those of us that are unfortunately addicted to nicotine....a legal substance. I have just completed my first ever cruise and looking to pull the trigger on the next one tomorrow as of course most of you know it too is highly addictive 😉 but if smoking was outright banned, I would be seriously reconsidering. Especially as a lot of consecutive sea days. I am in total solidarity with non smokers as even when I did smoke, I could not stand the smell of cigarettes. But as stated before, I was addicted. I don't frequent the casino but walked through it multiple times and it was stange to smell that aroma that used to be so normal in pubs, restaurants etc before the general indoor smoking bans..
