  1. Cafe il Bacio will be his friend.
  2. I generally prefer and do almost always book private excursions. None of which are for the reasons you mention though, I have no reason to feel immense guilt or any guilt for that matter, on the income disparity. That does not mean one does not care, but guilt, no.
  3. You get any photos they take within the included allotment. You and your wife or friends can be in the photo, it does not matter.
  4. Same with the elevator to retreat sundeck on Summit. Been broken for over two years, they told my friend they were waiting for parts...it's still broken
  5. Thank you for this additional information! I booked a cruise only fare for the first time and got a great price on a 13 night TA even after adding additional purchases for premium wifi and non-alcoholic drinks packages. The cost of the 5 nights specialty dining, even if a la carte is a no brainer. Very helpful so thanks again.
  6. Celebrity is casual, what you describe is fine for dinner, sans the shorts, though would be fine for lunch. Some do dress to the 9’s in the evening, totally optional though.
  7. Thanks, you are correct. I hadn't noticed it, but it does not say the amount of the credit at the package I am looking at. It's still a good price for the 5 night package in total so I will just reserve it. Thanks again, appreciated! For restaurants with a la carte pricing only, a food credit* will be provided.
  8. If I purchase a 5 night specialty dining pacakage, and I use say two nights at Le Grand Bistro which has A la carte pricing at dinner, 1. can this be done and if so, 2. how does it work? Do they reduce the package value by the total cost of my items ordered at LGB? The exact wording is not clear, though more likely I'm just not understanding how it works. Perhpas they just give say $xx for dinner there? In addition I would use the package at Eden a few times as well as RGG, and the current "sale" price is very good for my cruise, just want to make sure I understand it before I purchase. I've only ever eaten lunch (which has a fixed price) at LGB, and it is my favorite restaurant on the EClass ships. TIA
  9. Spent 3 weeks land vacation May/June, London, Cambridge, Oxford, Glasgow Edinburgh. London was a madhouse, all the others were a very close second. Flights from US and return were full. Took the overnight Caledonian sleeper train from London to Glasgow and every sleeper berth was sold out. Travel domestically and internationally is at its highest level in many many years. Prices for everything are up and people don’t care, call it the pandemic effect or whatever, money is being spent.
  10. Correct but I still didn’t do a count, just complete the list and stuffed the bag. There was more than 30 but I don’t know exact number
  11. Exactly and I have never counted the number of items I put in the bag. I just stuff it to capacity and it all comes back clean, never more than 2 days.
  12. I didn't know it either. I booked, for the first time, a cruise only fare, while on the phone, she asked if was interested ina drink package, I told her I wanted non-alcoholic. She told me the price and asked if I wanted to use any OBC, so she did it right then.
  13. You can use the OBC for the purchase, whether on the phone with a CSR or doing it yourself on line. I just did this with the non-alcoholic package, I used the "sale" price because it was a lot more than using my Elite discount. I paid 26.99/pp/pd and it is now on "sale" for $39.99.
  14. And the price you see today may not be the same one you see tomorrow. They fluctuate all the time.
  15. As others have said, Key West can be iffy, but not sure what’s going on with Grand Bahama.
  16. I hope this will work out for you, I applaud your spirit! Best of luck.
  17. It's a non-alcohol package. It covers soda, bottle water, specialty coffee, smoothies. I got it for $26.99/day and on my cruise it is now $39.99/day. Soda is $4/$5.
  18. Is it just a 3-4 day cruise with only those two ports? If so it’s now an entirely different cruise so you may be able to plead your case. It’s definitely worth a call.
  19. Wait, what?? It's not a conspiracy against Celebrity cruisers??
  20. Menus can change multiple times over the course of a few months and probably will. French onion soup, escargot, beef Wellington all seem to be consistent staples though and always get very good reviews. Count on variations of fish, chicken and lamb and then prepare to be surprised, hopefully a pleasant surprise.
  21. Not always in cash, some transfer OBC to crew in lieu of cash tips.
  22. If you like sitting outside while reading, the area just outside of Eden main level. When you get outside just in front of and to the right is nice seating. Don’t go over to the left aft, that’s a smoking area.
