  1. Question or a guessing game.
  2. Thanks for your virgin Virgin review, and glad you had such a great cruise! A newbie here too, I booked a TA on Scarlett Lady, way back in June and have not really given it a lot of thought since my initial booking. Just started to get back into it and am liking what I am reading from other newbies and the already VV lovers. Still research to do on the differences from what I am used to on Celebrity but am definitely looking forward to my first VV experience.
  3. Royal is over ➡️
  4. Ahh now it makes sense.
  5. Oh my, the dress code police are going to have a field day with this one.
  6. Only to the buffet I would hope!
  7. Wearing matching pj's around the ship?
  8. Didn't say whether I believed them or not, just reported what some are saying...and the beat goes on
  9. Ahh OK but what is your favorite premium bev package drink?
  10. If passengers bring their personal routers, which in theory I have no issue with, but if they impact my WiFi speed connectivity negatively, they should be confiscated.
  11. There is no "pay for" entertainment on Celebrity. Shows are all included and seating (for most) is first come basis.
  12. Celebrity throttles each user's bandwidth. On Oceania boards they say the exact same thing.
  13. I booked my Barcelona hotel direct with their website two weeks ago. Confirmation received and no mention of any additional info required.
  14. I guess rules are good, until and unless we disagree with them 🤔
  15. You are projecting your beliefs about tipping onto the OP. Their question is a valid one, whether we agree on leaving in place or removing, they asked a legit question. Much much easier to just leave in place for sure, but not everyone does, and none of us will convince either side otherwise.
  16. IMO Celebrity has far to many suites to enable the butlers to truly do their jobs. Many times they over promise and under deliver. The butlers need a break or they need to hire more to truly service what they sell and promise.
  17. Interesting...
  18. It's only complicated and awkward if you let it be. I know several people who tip the waitstaff on a daily basis. It seems to be what works best for them. Of course they don't tip a percentage, they just use a $ amount that they feel comfortable with for each meal.
  19. Could not agree more. I have 3 TA's booked on APEX, 3/25, 4/26 & 10/26, SV's for all on decks 7 & 11. Never, or very rarely, use the stairs and I love the walk. Being able to book the SV has totally changed my view on no longer staying in the Retreat.
  20. From what I can understand, this currently applies to Brits, due to Brexit. I am very interested as I have a cruise ending in Barcelona in March. I did already book the hotel and it was very easy, they did not ask any additional info than normal. I sent a travel agent friend an email asking this same question, have not heard from her yet, will update here once I do.
  21. Yes, I know, I am not new to travel by cruise or land. I still don't get it.
  22. I don't get the "cleaning" the cabin twice/day bit. Isn't it really a refresh of towels and possible turn down of the bed, at least for most people. I do go green and make it a point to let my steward know that I only need 1 service/day and that is to just empty the trash and refresh the towels/wash cloths, though even then I hang them up when done and I certainly don't use a new one every day at home. These folks work freaking hard and for the cruise line to do this to them and thus the customer is really inexcusable.
  23. Mine went down from $27.99 to $23.99 for a 13 night cruise and $52 in my pocket is better than...
  24. Before making noise, short of feeling like you can ask the attendant(??), give a call to housekeeping or guest relations and inquire or make a request, Though staff has been reduced and they do have more cabins to attend to.
  25. Speak to the host/ess and he/she will seat you at the same table or at least in the same section so you can have the same waitstaff each time you dine in a specific restaurant.
