  1. Got it, thanks. This will be my first Eclass Celebrity cruise where I do not have specialty dining included. I’m still trying to figure out all the various options.
  2. My final payment due is Dec. 7 for a 13 night March 8 cruise
  3. Well that certainly changes the water on the beans for me! I have been waffling back and forth on whether to purchase a 5 night package for a 13 night TA. This helps with that decision. Thank you!!
  4. Please note my correction to post #5
  5. Interesting. So if I purchased a 5 "night" SDP, I can still use it towards lunch on a sea day, does not ONLY apply to dinner?
  6. CORRECTION: 5 night is $285.99 and 3 night trio is $146.99. My apologies, it had a sale.
  7. During the day I never found the open areas to be loud. Cafe il Bacio is a nice place to sit during the day, lunch at Le Grand Bistro, which is wide open to the atrium area, is a quiet spot to enjoy lunch. In the evening though, very different, the martini bar area is loud and usually gets very crowded and the noise definitely carries up. Same for Eden, in my experience.
  8. You will get as many that say to use a TA as you do who will say DIY.. I suggest do a mock booking via the website and then contact a TA and ask them to do an apples to apples comparison.
  9. Totally devalues the purpose of guests who pay for the retreat.
  10. Definitely following for this! I don’t follow many “lives” as they can be full of self aggrandizement and fluff, but yours are always so well written and beautifully detailed. Enjoy your cruise!
  11. In my experience, if you are booking just an individual reservation, you can do it. If you are purchasing a specialty dining package, you need to make the reservations as soon as you board.
  12. pen, paper, card holder, I am curious when this stopped? My last cruise in Dec. 2023 they were there and I needed and asked for additional paper and my room steward supplied it.
  13. Thanks for that reminder, I had not even thought it! I probably won't do either though, my favorite restaurant is Le Grand Bistro and unfortunately it's not valid for lunch, which is when I like to eat there.
  14. I primarily only do TA's now. I have done both east and west bound, despite what some say about the time change on eastbound, it has never bothered me in the least. No one can say what the weather/seas will be like of course, no matter what happened last year, who knows what will be the next. I have had generally very smooth but have also had, in the fall, a few consecutive days or somewhat rough seas, 20ish foot swells, which do not bother me at all. I have seen a mix of reactions to these though, so it really is dependent on each person.
  15. As an ex seaman, with that experience, wouldn't you be in the best position to offer her reassurance?
  16. I'm booked on Apex, March 2025, 13 night TA. Current specialty dining option pricing is: - Unlimited: $679.99/pp - 5 Night package: $255.99/pp
  17. Yes, I just caught that as well. While I was on the website, out of boredom, I just did a cruise cost comparison and from when I booked my cruise on 8/17, the exact same category is now $1380 more than what I paid. While I am sure it can happen, but for what I did pay, I can't see it going less even after final payment date.
  18. I'm having the same issue today. When I go in to look at excursions, the only option I have is for day 14, which is final day of the cruise. This past week or so, they have been all over the map with "sales" on specialty dining, WiFi, drinks etc. One day it's on sale the next it's gone. Just chalk it up to Celebrity being Celebrity.
  19. Celebrity will keep you well informed of any changes to your cruise, ports etc. They took Haiti off the list starting next month, after about 6 months of not going there.
  20. I only had the dinner twice, crab cakes and lobster, was wonderful. I would also suggest that you consider lunch at Le Grand Bistro, which IMO is the best specialty dining restaurant on EClass. Happy 50th anniversary!
  21. Only sailed Oceania once, it was a very good experience, certainly above Celebrity, esp. the food. Wasn't my overall vibe though and they are not a true luxury cruise line.
