  1. In Alaska if on Eclass ship, and Infinite Veranda would be ideal. You need to spend in excess of $60/pp/day on drinks to make an alcoholic drink package worth the spend, though the convenience may make it worth it to you.
  2. Mostly internal but there are some with common/connecting hallways.
  3. Their videos are mostly about them, the cruise/ship they are on is just the "set" for their movies.
  4. If you look into private tours, checkout Viator and Trip Advisor. I’ve used both in Bordeaux and Tuscany and they work with very knowledgeable experts and the wineries we went to were all great. Especially the large estates in France.
  5. Oh that’s right, she had to sit around for a year after she was ready
  6. I'm on the TA ending in Barcelona on March 21. I understand she will then have a few weeks of dry dock. Not sure why since she has only been sailing for 3ish years. My guess though would be for routine maintenance and a few nips and tucks.
  7. Nice informative review and great pictures. Thanks!
  8. Go with the cruise only fare then purchase a drink package for one and premium WiFi for just one device. I just did exactly this and it was a substantial savings.
  9. I’m interested to hear what the Apex dry dock will entail. I’m on the TA arriving in Barcelona just before that. I was hoping to book a cruise on her as well but I think she will be out of commission for 2 weeks.
  10. We had it on the Edge and Summit.
  11. Exactly. I cruise solo and have never been questioned or denied any cabin/suite I book.
  12. To clarify, you had an assigned dining time and they refused to seat you at the assigned time when you showed up?
  13. I’m sure if you call and arrange it in advance, they will be able to accommodate you. With the advance notice they can make the table arrangements so they are somewhat separated.
  14. I stayed in the CS on Summit in Dec. 2023 for 9 nights. I loved the room and having the separate bedroom. Closet is very large, if I remember 3 good size drawers on both sides of the closet underneath a large shelf top and plenty of hanging space. In my bedroom, neither of the power outlets worked on the table lamps but there was a wall outlet I used. As someone mentioned, if unsteady or mobility issues the tub/shower combo is dangerous, though it was fine for me. Balcony is decent length but narrow and had two nice chairs and a small low table, enough to hold a drink glass and a small plate. It is a bump out so looks forward and if one is nosy (like me) you can see everyone on the balcs and a great forward view. I took some of the most incredible sunset pics sitting out there too. The butler and steward service were AMAZING and honestly the CS butler was superior to the butler I had in the EV on Edge. I would definitely book the CS again. I was in 6104. Hard to tell you if $1100 additional is worth it since no idea what you have already paid.
  15. I just did a quick search but was not able to find. Anyway about one month or so ago someone posted a pic of the same suite on Apex. They reported that it met every single need and worth noting, that person said they used a wheelchair. I’ll try to find the pic later, but I think you will be ok.
  16. Well you start by purchasing a bar tab, in the $ amount of your choosing, and VV adds $ to in on a sliding scale. Once on the cruise, you buy ANY drink you want (soda is already included) and you don't have to think about the cost because any drink you purchse comes from your tab. Most of us have a rough idea of how much and what we will drink, so we can most likely buy the bar tab that best suits us. On Celebrity, you have a choice, Classic or Premium and now apparently the mystery package at an amount to be determined once on board. With Celebrity it is just far more involved than it should be to simply get a drink. IMO VV takes the guess work out and makes the process far more customer friendly.
  17. Short of having ALL drinks included in a cruise, i.e. paid up front, no hidden/additional costs, VV seems to have the best options.
  18. You make the time to post a very detailed video of a cabin that gets discussed here and a lot of people find interesting. I don't see why you need to apologize to someone who clealry needs to find something to complain about for no reason, esp. when you are just trying to be helpful. I hope you and the GF are having a great cruise!
  19. Is there a preference for a main dining room on Beyond? I don't think there will be a specific thread as to preference, but within the various dining threads folks have said what they prefer, for a variety of reasons. Basically the same though, save for a few items specific to each.
  20. Thanks for sharing this! Basically, it's just a reiteration of her non&semi answers to the Q&A here on CC. So they have classic, premium and the "it's a secret and we don't tell you cost until you are on board package".
  21. Unless the elevator announces the floor number at each stop and when the doors open it announces the up or down direction.
