Yes, it is a floor to celing window, with a small sitting area, 2 chairs and a low table. The top half of the window lowers (weather permitting) to allow the sea air in. IMO they are ideal on a TA or Alaska cruise. Don't think I would ever even consider in the Caribbean or a warm weather Med, cruise.
It looked like a very Italian or European type breakfast menu to me, which I really enjoy when I am in Italy. It looks almost identical to the "breakfast" that was included in my hotel in Venice. Again, may be because of the vibe, but I will look forward to giving it a try on the ship, be nice to mix it up a bit.
Thanks but as soon as I saw your post, I went right to my CP and repriced drinks and wifi and a couple of excursions. It saved me almost $150…so thank you!!
Exactly, it just takes a little patience and perhaps just telling the rep, I appreciate your help and please bear with me, talk slowly, I'll do the same, and we will both work together to solve this.
OK thank you. I think Le Grand Bistro becomes Le Petite Chef in the evening. While I LOVE LGB for lunch, I have no interest in LPC. I hate to pre-puchase the 5-night package if it really is for dinners only, have to cancel 48 hours ahead of time, and I'd not eat 5 times at the other restaurants.
So Elite's get a lesser breakfast than if they ate in the MDR or if in Retreat? Oh they also get a splash of booze in a breakfast drink? I'm curious as to what makes it special?
OK this makes sense, it is a review from a cruiser on a different website, but it was NOT a review on Celebrity website, which is where you said you found it.
While I will not try to sell you or dissuade you from sailing on Summit or any other ship. I will tell you that I sailed on Summit last December and loved every single minute being on that ship. While Retreat on Summit does not compare to Retreat on EClass, other than that, everything about the ship, the crew, restaurants was fantastic.
Same thing for me. In my CP, I have the "Unlimited Specialty Dining Package (Lunch and Dinner - $639.99 and the "Unlimited Specialty Dining Package - 5 Nights" - $240.99 and there is no reference to lunch for this package. I did call Celebrity to ask if I could go to Le Grand Bistro (my fav restaurant) for lunch and she basically just read the same description that I can see in my CP, so I kind of assume she is correct? Just asking if anyone who has purchased the 5 night package was in fact able to use it for lunch as well? I would not buy it if I can't use it in Le Grand Bistro or Rooftop for lunches.
I think they just dropped a big "flash" sale. Was looking at my CP and almost everything is between 20-30% discount. I repriced my WiFi, non-alcohol drinks and an excursion and I saved a good chunk of $$. This is the first time I have ever purchased cruise only and so far I am quite pleased.
My apologies, on the first page it says $141.99/PP but when I open it to reserve, in the description it specifically in ALL CAPS says:
PRICING IS PER CABANA, NOT PER PERSON. ONE PERSON IN THE PARTY SHOULD RESERVE THE CABANA. THE CABANA ACCOMMODATES A MAXIMUM OF 2 GUESTS.
Well with some of the prime real estate they occupy on the ships and their take over of lounges etc. They must pay one heck of a premium to Celebrity et al.
There are several. One is just outside of the Eden bar and it’s quite large with amazing aft views. There is another near the sunset bar and one just above the mast grill in the pool area.
Reading reviews on Celebrity website I see many many bad reviews for Eclipse, The Celebrity website is posting bad reviews of their own ship?? Very highly doubtful they would do this.
While not on Eclipse, I have done 3 cruises in the past 18 months, Edge twice and Summit once. Having almost always been a buffet no way person, I decided to give it a try. I can honestly tell you that I was more than pleasantly surprised. The turkey and beef carving stations and vegetables are great. Cooked to order eggs benedict are as good as any sit down restaurant on board. Make your own charcuterie is also very good.
Both of those hotels are $400+/night. I think one would be very hard pressed to find a hotel room in Boston during this time for anything less. Can go outside the city, Assembly area perhaps but if it were me, I'd suck it up and pay to be right in the city.
