  1. Whew ok great. I agree more capacity at Port Liberty. [emoji1787] We were so freaking excited when Oasis was coming here, booked it almost immediately. Cancelled in May, cancelled I'm Sept. Praying for August 2021 to sail now. [emoji120] Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  2. Do I see people advocating for or suggesting Port Liberty be abandoned or something? Don't be trying to close the port that is 30 minutes from my house. Where is this talk coming from? Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  3. Man it's about time, what took them so long to work together. I wish it was CCL as well but I like this. This is excellent news. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  4. I am one of those that had to go back to square one. May cancelled, moved to Sept and that was cancelled. Moved it to August 2021. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  5. From my understanding is most of it is brand new bookings. That is what I am getting from someone in the booking business. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  6. But bookings for 2021 are way up. Yes new bookings are up. The demand is there, they can't conduct business at the moment. Now I agree if this goes on much long lines won't survive. I'm worried about the big lines at this point surviving too. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  7. I have to believe with all the money spent, all the research, so many scientists and labs working on this all at the same time in a coordinated effort that a solution will be found sooner than later. At least that thought is what is keeping me sane. [emoji1787] Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  8. I guess good news but we cruise nuts on this sight aren't the general public. Not bad news though we all. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  9. If it's store policy, it's store policy and whoever doesn't follow should be and can be thrown out. I agree you couldn't force someone to wear one 24/7. I don't know who has suggested that though. I was at the mall the other door, outdoor mall and 99% of people were doing the right thing, only 2 or 3 people I saw being selfish. Stores would not allow anyone in over the 50% capacity mark and no one at all without a face covering. I personally don't wear a mask, I have a face covering though that is more comfortable to me. I certainly wear it if I go in any type of store, business of any kind. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  10. So what is the solution here? It can't be they can't sail and they go out of business and it if a vaccine isn't the magical solution then what is the solution? Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  11. I only did it once this last week with our Sept Oasis cruise being cancelled. No issue at all, very smooth. I mean I tried to pull a fast one and get them to book us for May because that was our original cruise that was cancelled. [emoji1787] They didn't go for it so we are on the last week in August which honestly the later in 2021 the better. Might be a blessing in disguise not being allowed to book for May. August seems like a surer bet. [emoji1696] Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  12. The cruise lines need revenue. I don't care where it comes from as long as it keeps the them literally "afloat" till the we get our ***** together here and cruise again. Hell I'm one of the crazies that thinks cruise lines should be given a lifeline from the government but I know that make me nuts. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  13. Well the problem I had yesterday was in a shoe store. I don't mind walking down the isle the right way that the arrows are in but it emptied out right where the line for cash register was and many people standing in line. That made it awkward. Not too mention this store did not have the freaking shoes I wanted in the first place and ended up ordering them on Amazon anyway. My 6 year old son did get sandles though. Oh you couldn't try on any shoes unless you take off your socks and the there there away socks. I mean I get it, all of it but man it sucks. It just makes everything not enjoyable. Please Lord we need a vaccine and freaking soon. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  14. This all tells me we need a vaccine and we need it quickly because we aren't doing too well here in the US of squashing this virus. I'm not blaming anyone, or suggesting politics in this but just saying we aren't getting this under control. We seem to continue to shoot ourselves in the foot. That is pushing the cruise lines back and back. On another similar note we went to an open air/outdoor mall here in NJ yesterday and even though it's orderly and 99% of the people are doing the right thing it's no way to live and quite frankly this new normal while necessary, sucks. Waiting to get into stores because it's at capacity isn't fun. While it only took probably 10 minutes the longest to get into a store, once you are in it's hard to navigate because the isles are marked for traffic. I can say this without a doubt, that will not work on a cruise ship. Traffic patterns, distancing will not work on a cruise ship and will not be enjoyable at all. Just my opinion though. 15. I don't know what they were talking about not enough cases, we in the US is hitting new records daily now. Plenty now to test this vaccine out on. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
