We're on the August 29 BIE cruise, London to Bergen. We had Belfast changed to Isle of Man, and had both Ullapool (which I note is a half day usually) and Orkney cancelled, with a half day added in Edinburgh so that we are there overnight and until 5 the next day. We leave London at noon. Otherwise, we are scheduled to be in port from 8-5 or 6 with the exception of Dublin which is 11.

How long did the Uber take to the Castle? We will be in Edinburgh on the August 29 BIE and because of losing Ullapool and Orkeny we get a day and a half in Edinburgh. We dock at noon and want to go straight to the Castle leaving the next day for other adventures. Not sure how long it will take us to get off the ship, but hoped that if we booked the 3:00 p.m. entry we'd have plenty of time to get there explore. Thanks for your running updates on the cruise. It has helped our planning so much!

Thanks so much. I looked for that info but just didn’t see it. I appreciate your finding it for me. My husband had lung issues and so steep slopes and multiple stairs, while doable, mean we go very slowly with multiple stops as we climb. Not a great fit with tour groups.

We are considering a tour to Stirling Castle from Edinburgh. Has anyone been there and can tell me how steep the climb is from the parking area to the castle itself? Are there stairs inside that would be climbed as part of a tour? Thanks.
