What to do, when it is time to order a drink, and you can’t make up your mind? Plus Susan gave me her shot. (Maybe for enduring her constant bath changes) Some food to go with it.

I know this post is from a month and a half ago, but the bath repainting project turned into much more. But it looks like it will be finalized in a couple more days. What started out as picking colors that would go with accent pieces, turned into much more. Since that repaint, I have…. Replaces all wall switches and receptacles. Replaced one ceiling light. Gave my opinion on three different carpet colors to go on the tile in front of the shower and toilet. (Yes, those ones we had that would supposedly match with the color we picked, didn’t). The new ones are finalized and down. Gave my opinion on four different sets of new towel colors, because as it turns out, the old ones clashed somewhat with the new color. Just had curtains 5, 6, and 7 (thank goodness for Amazon returns) arrive today, and one of those colors will work. (Of course, the old ones that were supposed to work, didn’t. So since we have gone through so many curtain colors, we only ordered the valances for these last three choices. Now, to get the rest and finish it. I don’t know how people choose things for an entire house anymore, with so many choices. After this, I think the paint schemes in the rest of our rooms look just fine.

Happy first day of Hurricane Season! Buckle up for the next six months.

Well, my verdict is in on the new Baldacci novel, Calamity of Souls. Just finished it this morning, and I thought it was a good read. In fact, I think he could bring back the characters in a series of books, if he was inclined to write more from that period.

Thank you Graham. She is flying to Florida today, with our granddaughter, for a little post-school year R and R. Yesterday was the last day of school. They are looking forward to some mother/daughter time. Our grandson is not going with them because he has some sports obligations. He and his dad are off to Cleveland for the weekend for some father/son time of baseball and golf.

You could go Elite 4 Elite plus 5 and Zenith 6 Same basic concept as Royal, since Diamond comes in as Elite. Now if they would just match D+ to E+, and Pins to Zenith.

Picked this up yesterday. It is a stand alone novel, set in the late 60’s. I am only 10 chapters in, so I am not sure how it will be. Anyone read this one yet?

That looks like a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. That is where we got our mini cakes. Our granddaughter had the red velvet cake. I had the carrot cake one. We also had confetti, chocolate chocolate chip, lemon blueberry, and white chocolate raspberry. We really like their cakes.

We had an enjoyable Memorial Day. The rain stopped, and we were able to spend some time outside, but we did end up eating inside. Our grandkids liked the drinks, as did the adults. It was just us and my daughter’s family. Menu included filets Baby back ribs (always fixed to add the different sauces each prefers) Corn on the cob Baked corn Pasta salad Bacon chive potatoes And many other side dishes. Like Bethany, we had bundtlet cakes. Six different flavors, so everyone had their favorites. Yes, there were candles in them, because we were celebrating my daughter’s 40th birthday. Her actual birthday is not until Saturday, but since she will be away, we decided to celebrate early. She, for one, is glad to see 40 arrive. We hope to see many more with her.

@TravelGirlinDallas Bethany, let me add my belated birthday wishes. Turning 51 is not bad. I wish I was just turning 51. Oh, wait, that would mean I would still have to go to work!

Actually, it was 4 games and 4 wins in one day. Those boys were all dragging after that much ball.

Taste wise, I am partial to te one with a kraken float, but I ruined the color scheme. Plus, I don’t think I should add that to the grandkids version. More sampling for me, but Susan has been sharing the load. How generous of her. 🤣🤣

It is 8 am, and I am testing out some theme drinks for Memorial Day. What do you think? The blue layer without the crushed ice. or with the blue crushed ice layer? They both taste good, but I may need to do some more sampling.
