Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. The top one looks perfect. Leaving tomorrow and now too late to buy. I’ll be switching with the lamp. I hope there are reading lamps.
  2. Most important is not where you are sailing, but who is sailing on you. Having cruised a lot on NCL I have never seen anyone more in the majority than North Americans. As primarily a US marketed line, I shouldn’t have to carry adapters for the cruise. When I reach my destination, I should expect to adapt.
  3. Got 2 from Amazon for $10. 😄 And marketed primarily to the US. Your point and fixtures and equipment is well taken. Of course I was being self centered. It’s my job. 😚
  4. How in the world did they do that. Total US brand using dollars everywhere. But in the lamps put EU 220v. At the desk across the room 110v. Shockingly thoughtless.
  5. I went to the photo, it was a dessert pic. Are there 110v outlets on lamp? From your description I would conclude in the wall is a 220v plug that would require me to unplug lamp, plug 110v adapter and then plug into the adapter on the wall. Am I correct?
  6. My understanding is that this class of ship has a lot more USB outlets. Do the nightstands each have an electrical outlet? I want to avoid bringing an extension cord to reach across the room if it is not needed.
  7. Agreed. Odd from start. And near all the youngers. I noticed the Speedway bar overlooked the Vibe and was pleased they recognized the disturbance. This is a 19 day transatlantic during school time so the passengers should tilt older.
  8. Delivered today for our 4/7/24 sail: “Dear Valued Guests and Travel Partners, As part of our commitment to continuously offer extraordinary vacation experiences for our guests around the world, and to uphold a consistent world-class product across our fleet, Norwegian Viva will be undergoing some enhancements during your cruise. The Speedway Bar will be converted into an all-new Entourage, offering teenagers aged 13 to 17 a dedicated area for them to meet and engage with others their age. Additionally, we will be making some upgrades to the Galaxy Pavilion, the virtual reality complex. To complete these enhancements, The Bull's Eye, Tee Time (mini-golf), The Stadium, The Wave and a section of the Galaxy Pavilion will be closed during your voyage. However, if we are able to reopen these venues during this voyage, we will communicate accordingly. Rest assured, there will still be plenty of activities available to entertain you during your days at sea, including the Speedway, The Drop, The Rush, the Aqua Park and so much more!" Those of us who have paid for Vibe get $100 per stateroom for potential noise.
  9. Why is the Joy suite experience different than all other ships?
  10. You nailed it. Are all of these usually available? The only one not on my list is 1792. I ought to try it.
  11. I’m on the Viva in two weeks and have my reservation.
  12. I’ve booked Haven and Vibe on Getaway. Glad I did. Haven sundecks are large and bar service seems to run every hour or so. Too long in the heat for me. There was a one way door from Haven to Vibe. Vibe has a bar and is very social. Next cruise I’m doing a suite and Vibe. Saves a lot of money and gets away from the same menus daily. I think this will be a perfect fit for us.
  13. What do you wear? I only want to bring shorts but want to dine in Le Bistro.
