  1. Unfortunately, you can’t split meals in the specialty restaurants except for possibly the casual restaurants such as Gigi’s/Alfredos. We only eat dinner in the specialty restaurants and I usually only eat the app and sides and my DH will have an entree. We pay full price for both.
  2. We received an email on July 31 that our Medallions and accessories have been shipped for our August 24th sailing. That’s a full three weeks prior, so hoping we get them soon. Can’t believe yours were shipped at the same time for an August 3rd sailing! That is too close!

  5. I completely understand your frustration. This has happened to a number of our members here on CC. Good news is that you will be delayed boarding about five minutes if you don’t have your Medallion. This is so common and they know how to process a new Medallion very quickly. Do not fret about this for one minute. You’ll be onboard and having a great time on August 4th. Enjoy your cruise!
  6. I completely agree. The way things are now there are many people who enjoy a “come as you are” experience. I’m not offended by them in the least. In fact, it just makes me look really good, lol
  7. True, but I also think it’s about how you were raised. We have two adult sons who are both professionals. They always dress well, whether it be on a cruise or a restaurant at home. Not suits, unless the occasion calls for it, but well tailored pants and nice shirts. They would never dream of wearing a baseball cap to dinner anywhere! Sorry, but dressing “properly” never goes out of style. Some people just choose to ignore it. I’m not talking about formal wear, just nice casual wear. I know I’m in the minority on these boards, but that’s fine with me.
  8. We sailed twice on Koningsdam to the Med in 2017 and 2018 and next up is Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam for 2025. Love Pinnacle class ships. Also, Nieuw Amsterdam and Eurodam are great ships. We liked Westerdam and Zaandam, but not as much.
  9. We’re actually two star Mariners, but moved over to Princess and Celebrity a couple of years ago. Celebrity is still great, but not so much Princess. So, back to HAL.
  10. We’re doing our last Princess cruise next month. Just booked 2 HAL for 2025. Princess is leaning towards the Carnival, NCL, RCI experience. Not for us anymore.
  11. We’re sailing on Enchanted next month Canada New England. We’re going to take a break from Princess for the next year or so. Other cruiselines may be more expensive, but you really do get what you pay for. It seems Princess is going in the direction of Carnival and RCI. That’s just not for us anymore.
  12. The embarkation port is an overnight. OP is arriving on day one.
  13. B511 is a deluxe balcony, which means you have a loveseat that can become a bed at night. The upper bunk is in the ceiling and does not impede your movement around the cabin. We love these cabins!
  14. Thanks to one of our members, the issue was solved very quickly. It was because of a change in flight times that Princess did not acknowledge.
  15. I just got lucky! Advice from @Abercrombie2019saved the day. I love Cruise Critic members!
  16. It worked! All this for a five minute flight change. Seats have been selected and paid for and confirmation received. I had to do this with Air Canada as Princess sent me there again. Oh well, it’s done and I have you to thank, my fellow Canuck!
  17. This is exactly our scenario! Our flight was changed by five minutes last month. I acknowledged on AC booking. I think you have solved the problem, my friend! I will call EZAir today. Thank you so very much! I’ll let you know the outcome.

  19. I can’t even get to the part where I can see the seating plan. As soon as I click on Select Seats I get a message to call the airline as seat selection is not available with EZAir. When I try it online with Air Canada or the app I get a notice to contact the third party who booked the flights. My Aeroplane member number is noted both with EZAir and AC.

  22. Yes you are so right. We never do connecting flights anymore and usually book direct with the airline. Air Canada is the pits in customer service!
