  1. @ReneeFLL Happy late Birthday! Sharon had her phone screened on the TV yesterday. She was looking at Icon pics and our group pic came up! Love it. There were actually 2 different group pics.
  2. I visited the garden yesterday. The plants are looking great! The tomatoes are already reaching the cattle panels. I have a few in grow bags. This one is almost 3 foot tall. I will soon need to add a 6 ft pole to support it. Rain forecast for later. Tomorrow 86⁰. Good start to growing season.
  3. The lines in our neighborhood are underground too. There has been times when our lights have gone out do to the above ground lines on the main road that passes our neighborhood.
  4. Shogun I did a search on my cable and found Shogun. It will show S1E9 on FX Tuesday 9 central time. My cable did not save earlier episodes with On Demand.
  5. @dani negreanu Dani, I hate seeing you have to go through this. You are so special to all of us. We will continue our prayers for you, your DH and others around you. I know you will stay strong.
  6. Wednesday was the anniversary of my official diagnosis. Time sure does fly! Physically things have changed a lot. I am not going list those changes. I think the one thing that has changed for the better is my love of life and those around me! I give thanks for each new day! So much love shown to me and my family. An example of how we have been blessed, remember me telling about our new neighbor, on her own, came over and shoveled the snow off our driveway? Well, yesterday she surprised us with a great homemade strawberry pie! We are still having people bringing us meals each week to help ease the burden off Sharon and to bring a smile to our face. And what I love the most is so often I still hear someone add their name to the long list from around the world of those that are thinking and praying for us. So special!
  7. Just visited the garden. I cut back this year. 30 tomato plants in beds, 8 in grow bags of which I am keeping 5 on our deck. The plants look great. Only 1 looks like it should be better but I have 10 backup plants to replace if needed. Forcast shows temperature in the low 80s for several days! Here are flowers coming out!
  8. You can't get anymore frameless than ours. It sure is a blessing to be able roll in. We don't use a floor mat. When the room was renovated the floor was slightly lowered near the shower to drain.
  9. Thankful y'all are able to do it again! I really enjoyed meeting you on the Hawaii cruise. You surely impressed me with the strength you showed while dealing with what you were going through. I know all here would love you sharing your experience. Looking forward to the pics! I hope all goes smooth this time!
  10. Our last frost date used to be April 14th but it moved up a week. For the next 10 days the forcast low temp is between 47⁰ and 63⁰. The new walkway the kids put in the garden makes it nice.
  11. I think it's the portal that is contributing to problems. Arkansas had a great recruiting class this year. We beat Purdue in an exhibition and Duke. The team just didn't jell. Also effecting football. I think it's part of the reason Nick Saban retired.
  12. Simular experience. When the total eclipse happened it was like someone turned on the air conditioner. Now it's hot again!
  13. Photos don't do it justice. Here was the effect of the partial sun shining through the chair. Started getting dark, cooler and quieter. A shot with the 10x camera. Not as nice as actually seeing it.
  14. It surprised me. He has done well so far. If I was burnt out, I wouldn't take another job. I was happy to see Musselman leave. He was too much of a whiner for me.
  15. A while back we started hardening off our garden plants. Sharon's older DB came to visit this week and helped plant the garden Saturday. We planted tomatoes 🍅 A couple of buds have already popped out. And the traditional bed of peppers with cherry tomatoes on each corner. Here is the garlic we started last fall. It's doing good. Should be ready to harvest the first of June.
  16. Speaking of eclipse, a week ago we celebrated a few family birthdays. My oldest DD made some eclipse birthday cupcakes!
  17. That stinks. Right now we have thin scattered clouds. It should not effect things. I am thankful how warm it will be and that the path of it goes over our town.
  18. I woke up at 5am and it looked like the eclipse had already started. 😆 The hourly forecast shows it to be 80⁰ an hour before the eclipse gets here and then dropping to 75⁰ then back up to 80⁰.
