They are there now, we are booked on the Sept 18, 2025 out of Boston. We now depart Quebec City at 6 pm instead of 3pm after an overnight which is great.

I know that when my DH applied for his renewal there were a couple of countries that we had forgotten about, it was not stamped on our passports but he did have to have an interview with US CPB.

Definitely sympathize with you & feel that you should at the very least should get the extra amenities that the Penthouse gets. Have you talked to the Retreat desk that calls you before a cruise, you never know as they are always in contact with the ship. It says in Celebrity’s rules that once the bid has been accepted you cannot back out so why are they allowed to back out? Rules should be a two way street. Look forward to meeting you both onboard.

Maybe you should get checked out to be sure it’s just a cold.

I’ll tell you our experience. We were supposed to fly from YYZ to Boston directly for a repositioning cruise the next day. Our initial flight was cancelled & were we were advised that our new flight was YYZ-YUL-FLL. We only had a 1 1/2hr between flights but we sat on the tarmac in Toronto for 20 min before we took off. Arrived in Montreal & found out we had to go through CDN security again & then go through US customs & a huge line up was already there. They started calling out flight #’s to get people through CDN security. We had Nexus so US only took a matter of minutes. We rushed to the plane & found out that half the plane were still in line, waiting to get through. Our plane waited about an hour before we took off. There too many things that can go wrong with just an hour. This was last fall. good luck.

On the Celebrity website, if you sign in are all your cruises showing on Upcoming Cruises? I have had a couple missing that I had to add & then they will show up on the Celebrity App.

For my DH it took 4 months to get notice that he had to have an interview. Then 2 months to get CDN interview & US is first come first served at the airport. Not sure but the rules may be a little bit different if your card has already expired.

We have used flights by Celebrity before from Toronto & it turned out ok, but I always check the flight you want to take with the airline first to see what they charge then check the Flights by Celebrity rate. It is usually very close. I would be more inclined to use Flights by Celebrity if I was flying one way to Europe for a TA cruise or if it is winter here. You don’t say where you are going to. Unfortunately airlines change flights & if you are with Flights by Celebrity they give you what they want not necessarily why you want. Good luck.

Just to let everyone know, David had his US interview on Jan 13 & received his new Nexus card in the mail.today.

You cannot book your seats with AC until you pay for the flight. Sometimes you get a really good flight with FBC but unless you pay for the flight you will not have a chance to book seats.

My DH had to do a US interview for his Nexus renewal. We flew to FLL on Jan 13 @6:15 am flight, it appears that the Nexus lane & others open-a little earlier than it says as we went through at 4am & he was waiting for his interview by 4:15 am unfortunately there were 5 people ahead of him. The US CBP did not open until 4:30 or whoever they saunter out. Anyway to make a long story short 4 people decided they couldn’t wait any longer & they took him & the first guy together to the interview room, he was done in about 20 min., he got to the gate about 5:20, 10 min before boarding. If everyone had stayed he wouldn’t have had time for the interview. So give yourself lots of time.

You would have to do US interview in Quebec as it has to be going to a US location but check & make sure they do it there.

Realistically yes, but there are many variables that could change that scenario. You don’t say what month, as weather could affect this, also if your cruise is right after a TA there are a lot of protocols that the ship has to go through, you may be late in disembarking. 95% of the time 11am is doable.

We changed a cabin yesterday, on a cruise this weekend. It took about 3 hrs for the new documents to be emailed to us along with luggage tags. Just give them time.

We already did our Cdn at the airport as it was much closer for us than driving to the border. Our fault but thought we could do the US at the border if it didn’t work out on a flight which we have next week. Should have read the whole thing.

Probably what we should have done but will find out next week if it’s possible early morning. His card doesn’t expire till next June so still have lots of time but didn’t realize that if you go to the airport for Cdn. has to be completed at airport, obviously should have read properly. Well I haven’t had a new picture in 10 yrs & wish I did as I never liked my photo, but they renewed mine, lol.

Was this for a Nexus Renewal or is this a new application? We have had our Nexus cards for 10 yrs but my husband has to do an interview, so I don’t see why they would have to take finger prints & photo all over again.
