Thanks for all your responses. Many good suggestions. One question not yet answered is if train is booked directly with the Flam Railway, how long is the stop at the top? Is there time to get off for a few minutes to get a cup of coffee and use the facilities? i think I would enjoy the Celebrity excursion, but not at their price.

We will be on the Apex to the Norwegian fjords and planning to take the Flam Railway to the top of the fjord. Looking at pricing, it is $69 pp round trip to book directly with the Flam Railway and almost $200 per person to book Celebrity’s excursion. Celebrity may offer their own trains and do include a waffle breakfast and staying at the top for 60-90 minutes before returning to the train to head back down. If we are to book directly with Flam Railway, how long do we have at the top before we have to be back on the Train to return? Is there time to get a cup of coffee or use the facilities? One reviewer said because the train was running late, they were told not to get off the train , at all. Other reviewers say not much to see at the top so need to get off the train. Hoping that some of you who have done direct booking with Flam Railway or taking Celebrity’s excursion will have some input. Thanks so much.

Will not be going until September 2025 and want to book the Train independently. Is there much time between the train going up and heading back down, so there would be a few minutes to look around and see the view from the top?

A curiosity question for anyone on deck 11 on Celebrity Apex. We have cabins booked with friends on deck 11, cabins 11187 and cabin 11189. In looking at the deck plan, it looks like there is a hallway type of opening between the two cabins. Could this possibly be a storage area for the room stewards? First time on Apex and very much looking forward to trying another class of ship from Celebrity.

We are on the Summit. Several were Luke warm but there was at least one that was hot.

An update. Within a couple of hours, my luggage tags and cruise documents were updated to the correct cabin by Celebrity.

Good morning. Thanks so much for all the helpful replies. I just called Celebrity, got through to them within a couple of minutes, and they are changing the luggage tags and cruise documents to the correct cabin number. I will update when that happens .

A few days ago, I changed my cabin number. My boarding pass has the correct number but when trying to print out the luggage tags, the old cabin number is still there. Any suggestions to correct this? I thought maybe I could take a marker and cross out the old number , but my husband thinks there are also bar codes on them and maybe not a good idea. I can call Celebrity, but hope someone has had this problem and knows how it was corrected. Calling Celebrity most often has long wait times.

Hi Dream_Out_Loud. That is great news to hear. Thanks for posting, but now I am feeling guilty that I’m making a mountain of a molehill. I was just curious about the obstructed view and it wouldn’t impact my cruise at all. Your clarification is appreciated and I can’t wait to get on board.

Very interesting Bruin Steve. Maybe there is nothing obstructed at all in cabin 8069. I switched C2 cabin 8050 to 8069 to be closer to cabins of our friends. I think it may have been a better move than just location. Thanks for all that info.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I guess , for whatever reason the cabin is called partially obstructed, it is nothing major and maybe nothing at all. I just can’t wait to be on board and to enjoy the Summit. First Celebrity cruise for us after many years on Royal Caribbean.

I am sailing on Celebrity Summit in Concierge cabin 8069 which is listed as having a partially obstructed view. There are other cabins close by that are also listed as partially obstructed. If anyone has stayed in this cabin, is it possibly from life boats or window washer equipment? Just curious as I love the location and not planning to move.

My booking didn’t show up as well, but is back up now. Celebrity’s website is acting up again. Check again as it will probably be there by now.
