  1. Hcat, those sailings showed up on the website yesterday with no fanfare! I didn't get any Captain's Club emails either. Connie is doing similar sailings to her winter 20-21. I didn't even have to log in to see them.
  2. I read the OP and thought " St.Petersburg". I agree , Alushar, visiting there was in incredible experience. As someone who grew up during the cold war, it meant a lot being able to walk the streets of that beautiful city, see the incredible art in The Hermitage. I was on that Equinox cruise with you, Happy Cruiser. From the start, my emotions ran high on the trip. Worried about the sailing, worried about my house and pets in Florida.....then the horror and sense of helplessness when the storm hit the Bahamas. Our diversion to bring supplies was right and good.
  3. Thanks for that info. That means he will be the CD for the cruise to New Orleans for Mardi Gras! I have never sailed with him. I hope he has fun stuff planned for us onboard !
  4. I love the Equinox! My last 3 cruises were on it. My next 3 cruises are on Reflection, Constellation and Apex. The other day I was thinking "oh, man I'm going to miss the Equinox. I should've done a glassblowing class, I should've had one more cigar on the shady side of the Sunset Bar last month" . Beautiful ship, great staff ! But I'm sure the other ships are great too, each in their own way .
  5. Thanks for doing all the typing for me, VT. I feel the same exact way!
  6. I will try to post photos tomorrow once I'm home.
  7. Anchored off Freeport. Starting to put tenders in water. Symphony still here right near us. Celebration ship in the harbor. i wish i could post pictures!
  8. Yup. Watching marine traffic. It looks like Grand Celebration is docked. Being used to ferry residents and aid workers. Symphony of the Seas is currently anchored offshore and will be tendering in supplies. I was told we will anchor and drop off supplies after them.
  9. I was told by a staff member that a large supply of water was brought on in Tortola. I think Celebrity was preparing for this relief effort all along and just couldn't tell us until it was finalized.
  10. I believe we will be anchored and tender supplies in or have them picked by vessels from shore. i will post tomorrow when I see how it is done.
  11. I guess supplies were picked up in Tortola or St Thomas ? That’s all I could figure....
  12. The Equinox will be in Freeport tomorrow delivering meals and supplies along with an RCI ship. Kudos to Celebrity and her parent company!
  13. In addition to cash, RCI is sending ships with supplies. The Celebrity Equinox is being diverted to Freeport tomorrow from its scheduled port, to deliver meals and supplies . Several other RCI ships are doing the same starting today I think. I think it is all good.As a passenger I was certainly happy to hear it . We have all felt so helpless the past 2 weeks as this storm developed.
  14. The letter given to us says that 10000 meals and other supplies are being delivered. Passengers will be given 1 day of their cruise price back as refundable OBC, for missing Nassau. This is incredibly generous as I'm sure passengers almost unanimously would have accepted this change with no compensation. Passengers can go to guest services and send a note to be delivered with the meals. I hope they are setting up a way to donate $ also ( not directly of course).
  15. I am on the Equinox and the captain just announced that instead of Nassau tomorrow we will go to Freeport to drop off supplies for hurricane victims. This is wonderful news.
