    GoOpti

Has anyone used this service for transfer between Venice and Trieste? Is it reliable?

    Train

Wondering how it is taking the train from Venice t9 trieste with luggage. Is there enough room on the train to keep luggage with you? We are seniors so trying to find the easiest way to get to Trieste.

  4. Don’t mean to butt in, but we are looking at taking the flexi bus from Venice to Trieste. There are 2 different pick up points to choose from. One is Venice Mestre(stuzione) and the other is Tronchetto. Which would be easier to get to from a hotel near st. Marks square.
  5. We are staying at a hotel near st. Marks square. There will be 4 of us. Looking for ways to get to Trieste were our cruise starts. We don’t need same day as we are arriving in Trieste a couple days before cruise. Thank you.
  6. I know this has been asked before, but I need peace of mind by asking myself. What is the easiest and economical way to get fro the port to our hotel in Rome post cruise. I am a nervous person at times, so worry about having to drag luggage on a train and doing transfers. Is there certain cabs to take from the main train station in Rome to get to our hotel? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
  7. We stayed at hotel Lancelot in 2012 and loved it. We have booked to stay again in July. It’s nice and close to the colosseum and many restaurants nearby. One of our favorite is Naumachia which is close by and we have gone back there many times. We caught a bus around the corner which took us to the Vatican then did a leisurely stroll back stopping at other sites along the way.
  8. Just off QE. We found the theme night formal were less fancy than we were led to believe. There were many nice dresses, suits for men and we even saw people wandering the ship in the evening in casual wear. Masquerade night I’d say no more than 10% wore a mask. Going on QV next year so have a better idea of what to expect.
  9. I’m wearing silver, hubby will wear a silver tie to match with his black suit.
  10. If you have a boarding time of 2pm but you get to the port earlier due to flight time, do they make you wait to board or will they let you on?
  11. Will a black suit be suitable for the gala nights?
  12. Looking at the club Britannia cabins on Queen Elizabeth which are on deck 8, under the pool area. Wondering if there is a lot of noise that comes from the pool deck? Do they blast music like other cruise lines do? First time on Cunard.
  13. If you have to move your cruise to a different sail date, in the same month and are still in deposit, but the regular fare( no refund) can this be done without losing the deposit? Just want to move everything to a later date.
  14. This is our first cruise on Cunard. Looking at cabin 6088 and it is beside where the ship juts out. Is the a good cabin. I am guessing the view aft will not be possible. Will there be noise from the wind hitting the jut out?
  15. Can anyone tell me the cost to eat at the verandah specialty restaurant on the QE?
