Hi All. These cabins are very far forward and if you are sailing in heavy seas the ship will be pitching a lot giving a fair degree of up and down motion and maybe some slamming that can be pretty loud. Try sleeping in that. They are also near to the anchor chain chamber so if she is not docked the anchor chain release running out is very noisy and usually done on arrival on station early morning. I noticed in Silversea website image of The Shadow the anchor is photo shopped out. That leads me to think SS is try it on. These two cabin were never sold before RCCL took over probably because they are not good places to be while sailing.

We just knew you two adventurers would get to the Rainbow Mountain at some time. I'm sure you will cope with the altitude. The Lake Chungara car park was just a bit above our limit at 4570 metres. We will look forward to see your photos.

Meanwhile in Scotland

Even at its finest the TV comedy Yes minister and Yes prime minister couldn't make up a farce as wonderful as this.

We like darker stronger filtered coffee, Black or with a little single cream and absolutely no sugar. We don't chase the ideal blend. Most of the time it's a packet of dark roast from the supermarket (yes, blasphemy). Some of the best and freshest cups of coffee we have had were in Artisan Coffee in Broughton St. Edinburgh. Other locations are available.

Interesting coffee discussion and depending where you are from the water quality does matter. We like to buy whole beans by the packet from Caffè Nero. Don't know what type of beans or where they are from, but is our flavour.

This may sound cheeky but is a serious question. In some areas of the UK they have hard water. If you are particular about your coffee could this taint the flavour. If so would you use bottled water?

We had five goldies and a flat coat retriever from 1980 to 2019. This is our last girl Joy, enjoying the Scottish May sunshine 2016. All gone and still much missed.
