I have put a bag that size through the xray machine at Port Canaveral with no issues. -
New Policy - RCL fixes a non-problem

As was said on the other thread, non-alcoholic beverages do not have to be opened. You do not have to bring bottle tops. I thought this was a joke when you posted it on the other thread. -
Just make sure you keep your receipt when you buy luggage. We recently had a suitcase damaged by the cruise line on disembarkation. The retractable handle was snapped and was hanging off the suitcase when we found it in the cruise terminal. We made sure to fill out a personal property report before leaving the terminal and contacted the cruise line. We had to send them a copy of the report, pictures of the damage and a copy of the receipt from the purchase of the luggage. They will issue a refund but do depreciate the cost for age. If you don't have a receipt, they depreciate the cost by 40% but with a receipt it is 25%.

She can use her vouchers at the coffee bar that is in Sorrentos too which is open much longer hours than Cafe 270. I was on Odyssey its first sailing from Bayonne a few weeks ago and had not read anywhere about the coffee bar that is in Sorrentos. It is tucked in there on the left and never had a line when we went there.

Not sure it is all about giving drinks to the crew. There are people who frequently post that they take beer home. Not talking about one or two cans either, have seen multiple six packs of beer that they take home in cardboard holders they bring on the ship. Maybe it is like the bags of chips that people were hoarding and are now not available. -

We had absolutely no issues getting unopened cans of beer on the Odyssey a few weeks ago. We even had one waiter bring our drinks to us in the Music Hall around 11pm one night and offer to get my DH a bunch of beers to take back to the cabin so we didn't waste any of our vouchers. He didn't understand why we didn't take him up on the offer and asked us if we understood how the vouchers worked lol 😲🤣 -
Odyssey Entertainment Schedule

It was in our cabin when we boarded. Only way I have gotten it prior to the cruise is to request it from the suite concierge when they reach out the week before the cruise. -
Yes, it was all included and all you can eat as far as I could tell. The waiter said he would bring all the appetizers in the bento boxes, so don't worry, you don't have to decide. We told him we wouldn't eat the ceviche and he said he would bring double shrimp instead. We ended up with two shrimp cocktails with 12 shrimp total which was enough in itself and hardly touched the other stuff. The lobster tails were very dried out and not that great the day we were there and just don't compare to what we can get at home, so we would pass on them in the future. All the other food we saw people getting looked really good, so we would mix it up a little in the future.

No jellyfish when we were there a couple of weeks ago but we did get to see something we have never seen happen at Coco Cay. We have seen lemon sharks and stingray in the past and did on this trip too. We also saw a stingray jump out of the water twice! He had to be almost 3 feet in the air and jumped really close to a couple of people near us. Everyone started yelling the first time he did it and the lifeguard came down from his chair to see it too. Then it did it again in the same area and then swam right at us. It was one of the largest stingray I have every seen there. It happened so quickly that I don't think anyone got any pictures of it.

We have always gone to South Beach or Chill Island when we have been at Coco Cay. I had Hideaway Beach booked for our recent Odyssey cruise because I got it cheap ($36) but after reading how loud it is and how the food isn't worth it, I jumped at a Coco Beach Club half price sale ($72 pp!) and cancelled Hideaway. We loved the Coco Beach Club and will likely book it every cruise we are there if I can get a decent price. We were there with Allure and were the second ship to arrive, so we were not able to get any of the free beach beds by the pool but we wouldn't have liked them anyway. We got two chairs under a palm tree with an umbrella and it was perfect. Even with two large ships, it was very quiet in there with tons of empty chairs. The lunch is delicious and is way too much food. We will skip the lobster tail next time but will likely still do the filet mignon. The bento boxes of veges, pitas, hummus, baba ghanoush, tzatziki, ceviche and shrimp was all excellent! Floats are also included, as well as nice towels, so no need to take them off the ship. The pool was very warm and never crowded. There were kids but likely less than 20. Most were very well behaved. Two were jumping constantly into the pool and didn't have any regard for people near them but it was very easy to just go to the other end of the pool. I would book it and see what you think.

Expensive cabanas coco cay: Refund?
reallyitsmema replied to grouchomarx's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Beach club pool is heated and does have a lift to get your daughter into the water if she wants. Ocean is cool in February. We are from New England and can get in but it is too cold for others. The big Oasis lagoon pool is freezing at that time of year. We usually get in for one quick walk around the pool and head to the ocean to warm up! 😄 -
All the shows on Odyssey were at full capacity too with many people sitting in stairs or standing, leaning against the glass at end of rows, blocking people who had seats from seeing. In 270, they were sitting up on planters and one guy stood on the center set of stairs right near the open book and had to be asked to move as he was obstructing cast members. I meant to comment on this in my survey as it was a major safety issue if there was ever an emergency.

It will depend on the sports staff. My DH participates in some of the tournaments and some ships allow teens in the adult tournaments and other ships don't. If a lot of people want to play, then he likely won't be allowed. If the turnout is minimal, they might pull him in to fill the numbers. If he plays a lot of the teen tournaments, they will know him and likely not allow him to play in the adult tournaments. We were just on Odyssey and they were very strict about age requirements. Ping pong was crazy competitive and they were very strict about equipment, making sure all were using the ship paddles and balls. It is crazy how many people bring there own.
