  1. We want to visit the Arizona Memorial. Should we take The Bus or taxi from the Aloha Tower Cruise Terminal to the Arizona Memorial? We will be in port in Honolulu on a Sunday.

Do the buses run on Sundays? If we took The Bus, which number bus and where do we pick up The Bus?

How much is a taxi from the Aloha Tower to the memorial?

    Thanks!

  2. My daughter is getting married on the Caribbean Princess, out of Houston, in January 2016. We will be staying in a hotel near the Bayport Cruise Terminal. Does anyone have any recommendations for a hair & make-up person in this area? She is getting married before the ship sails, so the beauty salon on board is closed while in port.

  3. We will be sailing on the Caribbean Princess and would like information on cabins.

We are looking at the balcony cabins on the Caribe 10 Deck, Aft ship. Are the balconies on these cabins bigger than other balcony cabin categories?

Are the mini-suites that much bigger than the balcony cabins? And are the balconies on the Dolphin 9 Deck, Aft ship, a good size?

Any information on cabins would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

  4. We were just in Machu Picchu this May. We arrived in Cusco and immediately descended to the Sacred Valley to acclimate (altitude 9100 feet). We stayed a night in Ollantaytambo, then took the train to Aguas Calientes for another night stay. We then went on to Machu Picchu (altitude 7900 feet) for the day and then back to Ollantaytambo for the night and then two days in Cusco. We took Diamox, (you need to start this medication 24 hours prior to ascending). We drank Coca Tea, with a little sugar added, at every opportunity. None of us had any problems with altitude sickness, except for shortness of breath. Our trip to Ollantaytambo, with its huge Incan Ruins, the entire Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Cusco is one of the highlights of our travels.

We were touring by ourselves (no tour group). If you take a tour group to Machu Picchu, try to take one that visits Cusco last. Cusco (altitude 11,200 feet) is better toured last when you body has acclimated.

If you have time, visit Puno (Lake Titicaca) and Arequipa. Peru is such a wonderful country.

  5. Not sure about Hal but on a sister line, new key cards were on our bed the night before, and we just binged out as usual for our tour. Hal will let you know, and the BEST thing is you get to meet us as we are boarding that day!!:D

We are embarking in San Diego the same day that you are. (Can't wait to meet you!) I was wondering if embarkation would be earlier than 11:30 AM since no one is disembarking that morning. We want to board ASAP, drop our luggage, and then go to Seaport Village for a little while.

  6. Just of the Zuiderdam (Oct 27 sailing / 11-Day Panama Canal Sunfarer) –

We purchased the WiFi@Sea, unlimited WiFi for $149.99. It was a huge improvement over the old internet packages offered before. We were using our own computers and tablets, so log on was fast. I did notice that if I was using my tablet on my verandah, it was slower than if I was in my room.
