  1. Got ours yesterday. We figured with the cruise coming up it was a good idea.

As they say on the news, if you get the flu even though you got the shot it is usually not as severe. If you do not worry about yourself, do it for the rest of us.

  2. We did not get it "back when we were younger"; but now we're not so young as we once were and now we do.

Have had to use it twice on cruises...once when I got sick in Panama...once in Venice a carryon was stolen.

Might have had to use it another time in 2009 to come home early from China but my family held up the funeral arrangements until our return.

All kinds of different things can and do happen.

  3. If you like it have the TA call Princess and mark it "no upgrade" or as mentioned above meta only.

    This should work well.

For our cruise in October 2016 we agreed to a cabin swap, with the condition that if they wanted to move us again it would have to be from our Premium Balcony only to a Mini Suite.

  4. Of course, you can always walk one way and taxi back. Grocery store right beside Total Wine. Not sure if taxis hang out there, or need to call one. It's a large shopping center, so taxis should be nearby.

It is also a short walk to the Embassy Suites. There are always cabs there.

  5. At the end of the cruise if you have not redeemed for all of your bottles, you can do so and then take them home with you.

What a devious but clever plan!

    To crochet...Chartered Accountant (Australian term,

I believe that is a Certified Public Accountant. One of my brothers is one; we're taking his wife on a Caribbean cruise the 1st of October. He can stay home and iron his own shorts for a few days.

  6. VLPSH...

If your DD cannot or has not decided, please do not let yourselves be held hostage to ifs or maybes. If the plan is for three in a cabin you might consider removing her from your booking and then book air for two. Then if she decides to go you can add her to the booking again and see if EZ-air can get her there.

  7. I know each state has its own uniqueness. I just believe that Hawaii has some very different point of views.

We first cruised to Hawaii in 2008; I took a break of a couple of weeks from volunteering with a political candidate with Hawaiian connections. Going around the islands we saw a lot of political signs for local office, but only about two for the national elections.

  8. This area is where the '60s surfing movies were made. When I was there the weather didn't cooperate and there weren't any big waves.

We were there in 1986 on our honeymoon...the opposite was true...the waves were too heavy for anyone to stick more than a toe into the water.

  9. Hope all goes smoothly for your son in the morning.

    I agree with that sentiment.

We here in USA had our passports stolen in Venice airport. Had to train to Milano on a Saturday, wait for the US Consulate to open on Monday, train back to Venice & fly out Tuesday. When we got to Boston the Immigration Officer was a real jerk about the temporary passports. As if someone would go through all that trouble to sneak into the country!

  10. Somehow they believe the police will at their door in a few minutes to arrest them unless they immediately purchase cash cards to give to the "IRS"!

Makes one think that some of those scammed must have done something to feel guilty about.

We're on the DNC list for all of our phones, but I don't think it really does anything. The violators know there's nothing that will happen to them.

Most of these calls are "spoofed"...your phone shows it as coming from a Washington DC number but it is most likely from some faraway country where there is no real law.

  11. Can I have a list of the guest entertainers and the dates they will be on board before final payment?

    Oui, Monsieur Corfe,

We at Princess anxiously await your list of requests. We are most anxious to please you and shall make certain that each one of your personal choices will be onboard for you.

  12. For instance, there's a non-stop ATL-MXP flight on Delta - then you just have to take the train to Venice.

We did that train ride in 2013. A very pleasant ride...I think it was about two hours for about €130 in First Class; about €108 in coach. Take the First Class if you have luggage.
