  1. I appreciate all the responses since we will be shipping our luggage from home to the pier and back home, parking at tje pier self serve is our plan for this adventure!
  2. I realize space is at a premium in SOFL as in other major port towns.. when I googled parking I landed on a website that said it offered such a service, but could not verify that it was legit and an official port company ( https://www.thecruiseparkingmiami.com/ ) also I did not want get ripped off by paying for something in advance and have to later have problems try and let my CC company refund charges to me.
  3. We will be sailing out of Miami for the first time this December as we get back to or Holiday Cruises. We love to drive down the east coast from Maryland so we can relax and take our time 'I know that the Port Of Tampa offers VIP Valet Parking. My question is Does the Port Of Miami also offer this service, ( where we pull up to the terminal and someone parks for us and retrieves our auto upon disembarkation. We will be sailing on Seabourn. Any insight is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  4. We have often found that one’s experience on a cruise is a reflection of the Hotel Director, Head Restaurants Manager, and Head of Housekeeping direct influence upon the crew in their individual departments, this influence can go a long way in shaping the cruise experience for a traveling guest. Over the years we have noticed it can fluctuate greatly from ship to ship within the same brand.
  5. It does not matter to us what others wear when dining and in public, we prefer to wear jackets at dinner, tie optional, we dress in our tuxes for formal nights, if others chose to wear "casual" clothing" that is their purgative. My parents used to preach to me "I don't care what other parents let their kids do, my child is going to look like someone when they are out in public" Guess that just stuck with me and my hubby, guess our parents came from the same generation.
  6. From the videos I have viewed lately on you tube, the look you presented is acceptable. js
  7. Much appreciated here as well as we have her booked over the holidays!
  8. Reminds me of the old saying … "when you lay down with pigs ... the pigs love it and all you get is dirty"
  9. Speculation can be fun, but nothing is done until Kate Smith steps up to the microphone.
  10. Oh, you mean back when we couldn't ask questions and share information with friends and people we had never met via an online forum. Nah back when quality was more than a marketing term! LOL
  11. Thanks.....25 years ago when quality was a way of life....I get it..... Appreciate the response.
  12. While I agree 10% is a major savings.. it is so, only if you have the cash... if you have to charge it to "a card" and not able to pay the balance off at statement.. then no it's not a good deal..jmho
  13. All money paid before last payment date is 100% refundable , except for insurance just like on Celebrity. we are booked for our first Seabourn cruise this December, and took advantage of the savings, we are waiting until final payment due date to add insurance. Joseph
  14. I guess the bottom line is simply don't dress for dinner like your at Sizzlers or Denny's! 🙂
  15. We did .... wasn't impressed with the quality...we may need to go the custom route...
  16. He has long arms.... it wouldn't fit properly! lol
  17. David has always wanted a white dinner jacket, but I am having a lot of trouble finding one of quality... may I inquire as to where you got yours?
  18. As a newbie to Seabourn these video submissions allows us to view what folks on board actually wear, thus giving us better insight as to what to pack! Kudos!!
  19. That is how we are approaching this new adventure, we have cruised long enough to realize "things happen" and that not everything thing in the brochures are 100% factual. In other words we have seen this play before! We are just excited to try something new!
