Hi!
Looking for a Miami resort/hotel to spend the full day (we arrive 11am) and night before cruise with 12, 15, 16 year old boys. Looking for nice pool possibly on the beach...under $450 for the night. Any thoughts on Hotel RIU? Thanks!

Seven in a taxi would actually be less expensive than the minivans to Horseshoe. Would be about $43.50 for the taxi.
As for the public bus. They don't sell tickets at the Dockyard. So your options would be tokens or a pass for the public buses. For only three trips tokens would be cheaper than the pass. Tokens are $4.50 each for adults and $2.75 for the children. So that would be $26.25 for each of the three rides for the group.
Buying tokens and the taking the public buses are more economical but you should weigh the logistics. Taking taxis to Horseshoe from the Dockyard and from Horseshoe to Hamilton and the ferry back from Hamilton is going to be easier.

Thanks Charles.
Too bad they don't sell tickets at Dockyard as that would be the least expensive way to go.
Appreciate the suggestion!

Ok Charles...have another situation for you.
Arriving Monday, Oct 3rd.
4 adults, 3 kids. (7, 8, 11)
Do the mini vans to the beach charge $7 for kids?
We were thinking of taking the public bus from Dockyard to Horseshoe Bay, then bus from Horseshoe to Hamilton, then ferry from Hamilton back to Dockyard.
Looking for most economical way to go....Not sure whether to buy tokens, tickets, day pass, etc?
Suggestions?
Thank you!

We decided to do the Devil's Isle Cruise Beach Snorkel. Cheaper, longer and through the cruise line so if there is a weather related cancellation it will be done by the ship. Both had good reviews. Rising Son just had more of them! Have fun!

Traveling on Anthem of the Seas to Bermuda, arriving Oct 3/4th. In 6 weeks!
Would like to do catamaran snorkeling with kayak and paddle boards. Have been researching all of them. Torn between 2:
Devil's Isle Cruise Beach Snorkel- through RCCL, 3.5 hours and less expensive, in afternoon, power catamaran
Rising Son II Catamaran-in morning, 3 hours, $15 more for adults, $20 more for kids, sailing catamaran...really great reviews!
We have 4 adults and 3 kids (7, 8, 11).
Thoughts?

I've been doing so much research on a 2 night post cruise stay and now really torn on a decision. We are a family of 3 (7 year old) traveling with a family of 4 (6 and 10 year old) and want to stay near the beach. I'm torn between Condado Plaza Hilton, Doubletree or Tres Palmas. My main concern is cost of food and drinks at the resorts as opposed to staying at an inn (Tres Palmas). We like to drink and I really don't want our bar bill, hotel stay and food to cost as much as the cruise! For those who stayed at Condado (favored but most expensive), can we bring in our own food/drinks to the pool and beach areas? I trust all your opinions! Bring it on!

Is Mullet Bay Beach really noisy with the planes coming in on the next beach or can you relax?

Feb 18-19th which is making the hotels even more expensive since it's President's Day Weekend. Lots of mixed reviews for hotels so having a hard time.
