  1. Our experience with Aurea was on Meraviglia, but we always just showed up when we were ready. Never had a problem getting a table for 2 and it was always in a lovely location and not on top of any other table. If you are not satisfied with your table, just ask for a different one. Enjoy your cruise!
  2. We had this exact situation on another cruise (only one slot available in advance of cruise but two people). We did take the slot and hoped for the best, but they were never able to accommodate the second person. I hope you have better results! Enjoy your cruise.
  3. Another potential expenditure is Internet if you want or need it.
  4. I never had to reset the password. It just started working again. Both Celebrity and RC apps.
  5. So in our case we are staying at a hotel right near Waterloo station. And if I understand correctly we simply buy a ticket at the National Rail ticket office to get to Southampton (we will be getting on a cruise). This is a Friday in July. We understand we will pay more if we do not purchase in advance. Please confirm. Thank you.
  6. @AMommyof2 we enjoyed both CP and BW balconies, CP a bit more. We are pretty happy as long as we have cabins both above and below us, deck-wise. Enjoy your cruise.
  7. I received a survey from Royal about CoCo Cay. Anyone else? Focus was Thrill Waterpark, if you went or not, why, would you go and hang out at pool areas while kids were on slides (only), etc. Also some questions about various types of food and if you would want for lunch, snack or not at all. I found it interesting as we have been to CoCo Cay multiple times. My husband and I just do the beach, typically South Beach. The one time we were there with our son and 3 of his little (6 and under kids) we did not go to Thrill Waterpark. We have not been there since they added Hideaway, but the survey had nothing about that or anything else for that matter.
  8. One of our daughters-in-law is from Japan, and our son has lived there a couple times (a year abroad during university, and jobs after university). My husband has been there to visit (when my son was in university). I hope to get there someday.
  9. I was on Enchantment post-stretch and remember people without a/c, due to some issue, sleeping in the halls and other places (we were not impacted), but I don't recall being on a cruise without the cooler/refrig in the room. Lucky, perhaps ,or faulty memory, ha. Thanks.
  10. OK. Interesting. I have been on both Vision and Enchantment and they provided. Thanks for the info.
  11. Really? I have had one in every cabin.... inside and above. Are you saying certain ships don't provide to all?
  12. It was a while ago, so I had to look it up. We were in cabin 8398. You can check it out on the deck plan. I don't know if it was technically considered mid or aft. That was a Southern Caribbean cruise out of Miami. We had no noise issues. Enjoy!
  13. I would select deck 7 or 8, mid or mid to aft. Personally we prefer higher floors, but surrounded by cabins and as mid-ship as possible to minimize movement. We stayed on deck 8 on Horizon.
  14. It might be important to the grandparent, whether or not the grandkids can remember. Happy cruising to you and all here. 🚢
  15. Everyone is different. We don't like to miss grandchildren births or birthdays either. Go with YOUR heart and preference, @CruisinRoxy
  16. Can you let me know the executive office email? I am currently trying to resolve a billing issue and might need it. Thank you.
  17. @firefly333 It looks wonderful!! I think you will love it. Sometimes I wish I bought my dad's condo in Pompano Beach FL when he died. I am one of six children. We sold it. It was on the intracoastal, but his specific condo faced the ocean from a couple blocks away ... ocean visible and picturesque. But now we have grandchildren and it is hard to consider being that far away. Like you, we would seriously consider a condo (vs. another house). Wishing you much happiness in your new place!
  18. We found that one too! These cups are addictive and take up a lot of cabinet space. Ha.
  19. If there are books or stuffed toys they are used to at bedtime, bring them. Buy magnets for the walls of the stateroom. There are lots of them on Amazon with cruise/sea themes. See if Adventure Ocean has a playroom (adult attendance required). If you are on a ship with a carousel, take full advantage. We went on it endlessly. Enjoy.
  20. @lenquixote66 We are watching Homicide New York. Thanks for mentioning it. My father was a NYPD homicide squad commander (many moons ago) in the Bronx, so it strikes home.
  21. That 2026 Celebrity cruise has a nice itinerary and we love JVD. However it includes Easter Sunday, unfortunately, and we prefer to be home then. Happy planning!
  22. I added italics to your comment. That is exactly what we did recently on the Carnival Venezia.
  23. We still prefer the flexibility of MTD and hope they continue to offer it on Royal. We don't make reservations. However, the process could be vastly improved. At minimum, the ability to do what is done on Carnival, as others mentioned, would be great.... you see the current wait time in the app and simply click to check in. It alerts you when your table is ready and indicates the table number.
