  1. I am blessed to have some happy news. 👼 Six days ago our fourth grandchild was born. I can't do names or pics, but this healthy baby is a girl and joins our grandson and other two granddaughters.

Their ages are 5y, 3y, 1y, and almost one week 😉.

This was the first child for our younger son.

Best wishes to all of you.

Unfortunately, that also cleared my Wordle and Octordle streak records but that's okay.  On a side note, if any of you Wordle people haven't tried Octordle, give it a shot

I had to laugh .... this happened to me too after the Cruise Critic problem. In my case, with Wordle and Quordle. I will have to check out Octordle. Thanks!

  3. I got on with my computer after multiple attempts and clearing cache, however my profile pic was gone. I just reloaded it in my profile.

However, I can't get to Cruise Critic on my Samsung phone. It is in some type of Login "loop"....

There was a message on Cruise Critic that they were going to do some changes today and we would have to re-login.

Earlier this year we linked reservation with our Son his Fiance cabin specifically for Mdr and we could see their cruise planner items too.

Just the other day we booked them on another sailing as a wedding gift and linked the reservation to ours.   Will be wondering if we will see their cruise planner items since we are paying for their cruise.

Will be interesting to know. In our cases, they are paying separately but it almost appears in the one case as if I could do anything with their reservation ...... I would prefer not to see it at all other than for the dinner reservation....

  5. I was able to link reservations online just knowing their (my husband's brother and his wife's) reservation numbers. I was just doing it for MTD reservations. I was able to do the MTD reservations for two cruises we are going on with them.

Interestingly, in one cruise we are going on with them I can now see their reservation and all related info (their excursions, everything), in the other I just see the dinner reservations. Strange.

  6. Attended a Keith Urban concert last night at UBS Arena in New York. For those not familiar with UBS Arena, it is a new indoor arena built next to Belmont Park (racetrack). The arena is the home to the New York Islanders hockey team.

It was a crisp-weather night and a fun concert.  Ingrid Andress and Tyler Hubbard (he is half of the duo "Florida Georgia Line") also performed.

It’s a house.  Can’t downsize enough to fit into a condo…😜  Even if money were no object, I wouldn’t want to be directly on the beach.  You just get a lot more bang for your buck inland.

I have a different perspective and preferences, but I understand yours and wish you the very best. Thank you for answering the question I posed to you.

Places do go fast.  Two went under contract before we could look.  But we found one I’m happy with…close in a month.  Now all I have to do is line up movers, list this house, arrange an estate sale and tranquilize the cats.  I remember you had a bad experience with your furniture in your move.  Did you buy a separate policy for the move or rely on the moving company?  And what was the company again so I’ll know to avoid them!

I only stayed on Amelia one night and liked it a lot. Is this a house or a condo you are going to close on?

I have some of those glasses.    Look at those prices, any idea what year this is from?

We have one glass of that type as well. There is no year on the drink booklet. We started sailing RC in 2004 so I am guessing from somewhere between then and 2010 but really don't know. There is reference to a 15% gratuity being added so perhaps that is a clue. Ha.

  10. I am not a big fan of long driving trips but always split such trips with my husband. I have no fear of city driving having driven in and around NYC my whole driving life. On a longer trip we will typically take approximately 2 hour turns. It just seems safer.  We also don't drive more than about 8 hours / day. Too many stories of people falling asleep driving.  We find it more enjoyable to break it up and go out for a nice dinner. 😉

  11. My mom had beautiful red hair. All her antecedents were from Ireland (she reminded us of this fact as the rest of us - her husband and children - were mixed breed Americans - ha).  I had/have strawberry blonde hair and 8 million freckles.  I am one of six siblings with various shades of blonde, red, and brown hair ... not to mention some of the six with blue eyes, some with brown eyes, and one with hazel eyes.  Life is good.

  12. @jagsfan My parents owned a condo in Pompano Beach and I think it was very close to this restaurant you reference, however that was a long time ago and I'm not sure if the restaurant was there or not.

We took a cruise out of Miami in July of this year and stayed in Pompano the night before, but we  (thank goodness) ate at Houston's.

What an experience you had. Yikes.
