  2. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @kazu and @richwmn. I won't be brewing any potions today except for coffee. A good memory is a blessing, and I hope to keep mine. Popcorn is a good snack. Good quote. Not sure about the meal, and pass on the drink and wine ($$$). I have not been to Kangaroo Island. 2 good days in history, and 1 shameful one. It's 25F out and lightly snowing. We got about 2.5" overnight, and will pick up another 1"-2" during the day today. It's very quiet as nobody much seems to be out and about. I'm sleepy. I think it's a Benadryl hangover. I forgot my injection on Wednesday, and almost yesterday, taking my pre-injection Benadry very late at 11pm. I'll be inside today working on my diamond painting, and trying to see if I can find a number for the radiologist's office. @grapau27 Joy is back home now. @ottahand7 I hope you're feeling better today. @Crazy For Cats That sounds like a no fun day at work yesterday! @kazu Ugh on the temperature and the uncooperative driveway. @RMLincoln My condolences on the sudden loss of your NM friend. Surviving a ruptured AA is hard even in the big city. @dfish Early Happy Birthday to DB Bill and congrats to him on his retirement! @1ANGELCAT Prayers for Steve's wife trying to handle his recovery. I sometimes think I should have gotten one of those recliners that lifts up to help you get out of it. @marshhawk I hope you get some relief from your hip discomfort. @ger_77 Sorry to hear about DH's aortic valve leaking, eventual surgery, and the need to cancel your cruise. I'm sure that was a sad task, but he needs to get healthy first. BFF's DF needed valve replacement, but being afraid of doctors and hospitals, waited until it caused congestive heart failure. They had to fix that, then he had replacement surgery and did very well. @cunnorl Thanks for the KI photos. @seagarsmoker Continued crossed fingers for that job offer! @HAL Sailer I hope you and DH are doing ok. @Cruzin Terri Let's hope the US will give the podiatrist a clue about what's going on with your foot. Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those Celebrating.

  4. I went to PT and declined the soft tissue massage at the end. On Tuesday it nearly had me in tears, as it sets off the nerve and the tingling was so painful I nearly had him stop in the middle. I cancelled that specialist appointment for tomorrow due to the snow forecast, and it's now in March. That's what happened when the Doctor had Covid, and tomorrow's was from the cancellation list, which I'm on again. Nice to have you posting on the FR/Daily! That sounds positive! We're all pulling for you. I understand Sharon. My concern when getting vaccines for Covid, flu and RSV was how well I'd respond, since my immune system is dampened down by the biologic, which I will have been on 2 years in June. I had 4 Covid vaccines before starting it, and seemed to have more of a reaction, although I'm not sure that relates to how well you respond to them..
  5. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. No customers to get to know. Maintenance Day is every day when you have a house. I like gourmet coffee, but won't pay the prices they want. True quote. I like the meal, pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Newport, RI. Today is the calm before the storm. Snow will start tonight and they're predicting 3"-5". I am going to cancel my specialist appointment tomorrow, even though it may take a while to get another appointment (this can wait). I just don't want to be out there slipping and sliding. I will go to PT today, although it's hard with my legs wrapped, then I'm in for the next few days. Monday we'll finally get above freezing for the first time in about 10 days! Sleep was a bit better last night. No word from the radiologist - I just hope he got the MRI disc. @kochleffel Welcome home! @seagarsmoker Good luck with your interview this afternoon. Fingers crossed for a good outcome. @kazu Thanks for starting the Daily today. I'm glad you got some help with the driveway. @aliaschief Thanks for sharing your day in Lima. @ger_77 Sorry to hear of the decline of the fellow who helped with DH's video. Sad. @Sharon in AZ You should be ok as long as the vaccines are inactive. I can't take any live vaccines like MMR, yellow fever, chickenpox due to my RA biologic. Nice Newport photos. @marshhawk I'm sorry to hear they couldn't fix everything for DH at his procedure yesterday and that he requires further intervention. I hope he will follow the instructions, especially trying to quit smoking. as that affects circulation. @rafinmd Thank you for our maps. @Haljo1935 Sorry you have to cancel your cruise due to your shoulder and surgery coming up. @Quartzsite Cruiser Condolences on the loss of your 2 friends. I had 2 classmates I was close to but sadly one died young due to breast cancer; the other I only "see" on FB occasionally. Nice Newport photos. @ottahand7 Sorry you had another rough night. Let's hope tonight is better. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating.

  7. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I like all 3 days. True quote. Maybe on the meal, maybe on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Edinburgh. 2 big achievements in history. It's cold out and windy, with wind chill -8 earlier. I was surprised that the main school system here is closed; most did a 2 hour delay. I had an appointment this AM with the lymphedema clinic. I wear compression stockings, but with having to sit all the time now, I have more swelling. They wrapped both legs from the knees down, so now it's harder to move around, and I can't shower. I go back on Tuesday. I'm concerned about a Friday appointment with another doctor, as it's supposed to start snowing in the morning, with 2"-4" accumulation. @grapau27 We missed seeing your posts. @marshhawk Thinking of you and DH today as he has his procedure. @Cruzin Terri I hope the podiatrist can figure out what's going on with your foot. @ottahand7 Oh my, what a night you had. I hope the antibiotics help the bronchitis and that lowering the steroids stops the visions. @StLouisCruisers Great photos. @Denise T Congrats on the improved FBS! @cat shepard I only shoveled from the back door to the garage, but it was too much. I'll contact my guys who are doing the front, to also do that. @smitty34877 I rode the Green Line all the time, while at BU. @aliaschief Nice photos. Interesting corn kernels, and yummy Pisco Sour. @Quartzsite Cruiser Excellent photos. @kazu Sorry to hear there's so much ice around. Be careful! @fruitmachine Welcome to the Daily and thanks for the photos. @Overhead Fred Nice photos. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers to those Celebrating.
  8. 9. Ugh, just lost my whole post! Good afternoon. Thanks for the FR/Daily @kazu and @richwmn. I appreciate dragons, as a fan of GOT. Book publishers are important. I like hot and spicy food sometimes; I've had some very hot Indian dishes. Strange quote. I'll pass on the meal and drink, and take the wine. I haven't been to Papeete. It's 17F and cloudy. It started snowing last night, and instead of the 1-2" predicted, we got about 4". Early this AM schools had a 2 hour delay, but as the snow continued, most closed. My guys came and did the sidewalk and up to the porch, but since I had to go out I had to shovel from my back door to the garage. My back wasn't happy. I couldn't walk around the corner to the salon, so I had to slog through their unplowed parking area to their back door. Then I went to PT and the roads were fine. I'm hoping to hear something soon about the radiology procedure; I just hope the MRI disc went where it was supposed to. Same old same old as far as sleep and pain. -10F wind chill tomorrow AM, and I have a medical appointment. @ottahand7 I'm glad you're feeling better and out of quarantine. I know about the high dose of steroids; they work, but we have to put up with side effects. @kazu With all you do for us, no need to apologize. That sounds like a lovely lunch with your BFF. @StLouisCruisers Great photos from Papeete. I didn't think you needed any criteria to get the RSV vaccine, just be over 60. The stocking is coming along nicely; it will be a treasured heirloom in the family. @rafinmd Thanks for the maps. Your meal is one I'd like. I don't like to hear about you shoveling snow; be careful. @Denise T It sounds like you've got a good plan for controlling your blood sugars. @ger_77 I hope the blood tests can help the doctor figure out why your DH hasn't been feeling well lately. @Cruzin Terri Sorry you're still in a funk. You do have the cruise to look forward to, at least. Are you looking for a new cleaning person? Internet down again?; not fun. @marshhawk Prayers for DH's procedure tomorrow. @Nickelpenny My Apple watch has the fall alert. The issue is with the pulse ox measuring, as some other company says it's proprietary to them. I heard Apple removed that feature to avoid the import ban. I have version 9; I get a new one about every other model, but one needn't. @kochleffel Ah, Filene's basement! I went to school in Boston and it was fun to visit there sometimes (and try not to get trampled). @Quartzsite Cruiser Great photos. @RMLincoln Safe trip to the allergist today. @1ANGELCAT Prayers for your friend Steve. @luvteaching I'm glad your water hasn't frozen. My kitchen sink is on an outside wall, so I've been leaving the cabinet below it open and the faucet dripping. Last year my dishwasher wouldn't drain as the line to the sink is against that outside wall and froze up. Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those Celebrating.
  10. @kazuCan you ask a moderator to change the date to the 16th?
  11. 12. The contractor who will be doing the repair work from the water leak came by to measure my radiator. It's a vintage one, and decorative. Luckily he's interested in antiques and old houses and has some sources to try to get a replacement. Also there's no place to put all the furniture, and they'd have to go room by room with the floor refinishing. He is going to see if my insurance would pay for storage and the labor to put it somewhere. @ottahand7 I'm sorry to hear of your respiratory illness and confinement to your cabin. Also that John is quarantined. I hope the meds they gave you help. @aliaschief Thank you for the compliment. Do you have an iphone 15? It can take photos in 12MP, 24MP and 48MP. I know some people were just getting black boxes when trying to post photos here and had to lower the setting from 48MP. I think the default setting is 24MP. Also as mentioned, they have to be jpg photos, not the HEIC to post here. You can convert them from HEIC on transfer to a PC or MAC by a setting in photos. Or set the camera format to most compatible, which will shoot all future photos in jpg.
  13. Good morning. Thanks for the FR/Daily. I will salute MLK Day as a day of service and AKA Day. I'll try not to be Blue today, Monday. I may have a brew with dinner. Interesting quote. Yes to the meal, pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Albany, either in NY or AU. It was about 10F this AM, with a wind chill of 0. It's supposed to go up to 23F. Snow tomorrow, but hopefully not too much as I have a medical appointment on Wednesday. Sleep was not great last night, about 3.5 hours. My left knee hurts, I think as I rely on the left leg a lot. So when both legs are in pain, walking is very tough. The contractor is supposed to come by today to measure the radiator - he's looking for a vintage decorative one to replace it. @rafinmd Thanks for the maps. @seagarsmoker Fingers crossed that you hear good news from that employer. @MISTER 67 Are you on the Equinox on the 15th or 24th? @StLouisCruisers Thanks for the Albany photos. @kazu Be careful cleaning the driveway and when you go to visit your BFF. @aliaschief The food choices sound great and also the enrichment lectures. @RMLincoln Safe travels tomorrow. @Haljo1935 Do you have someone coming to look at your heater? @Seasick Sailor I'm glad you two got home safely, amid all the cancellations and delays due to weather. @quilty964 Stay safe and warm with all that snow! @Nickelpenny My mother sometimes fixed tripe when I was growing up, although I can't remember how she fixed it. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating.

  15. Nice toots from Rotterdam. A few people on their balconies. Too bad the weather's not cooperative.
  16. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. A lot of deliveries require C-sections for success. I've never flown a kite, and no pet to dress up. I don't agree with the quote. The meal and drink sound good. Pass on the wine. I haven't been to Fanning Island. Interesting days in history. The temp is 17F, with a wind chill of 6. This morning there was terrific winds and snow squalls that caused white-outs and trouble driving. Now the sun is out, so the snow has melted on the walkways. We didn't get that much snow. Things are the same with me. 4 hrs sleep. Lots of pain in the morning upon standing. I'm trying to do laundry, so the stairs to the basement are a challenge. And also taking the few holiday decorations down to store away. @sailingdutchy Bon Voyage! @StLouisCruisers Nice photos from today's port. @kazu Thanks for starting us up today. I'm sorry your elbow is sore and stiff. @rafinmd I hope you're feeling better today. Nice sunset. @MISTER 67 I agree with you. The Super Bowl used to be in January, now it's in mid-February, when the weather is much worse, due to them stretching out the season. @0106 Thanks for filling in for Debbie today. @kochleffel I hope you start feeling better today. @RMLincoln I hope you can safely get to DH's appointment. @marshhawk I hope the house next door doesn't end up with frozen/burst pipes. Your work schedule is very confusing, at least to me, lol. @smitty34877 I am sorry weekends are so hard without the aide. Great that family members are helping out with household matters. I had to laugh about your excitement for the teenager with cleaning tools in hand! I hope the hospice nurse will see Tana and can do something to make her more comfortable. @summer slope Sorry to hear about your biopsy results. @Haljo1935 That's really cold for Texas! And bad that your heat isn't working as it should. @dfish That's a long time to still be offline. I hope they credit you. Mine never does. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers to those Celebrating.
