  1. Are Crystal executives on the cruise today? Seeing what they have created so far and planning for what is next?
  2. Not sure why refurbished isn't as good as new but.. It has never been the physical ship that made the biggest difference to me - sure it has to be Ok but the crew, dining, enrichment, entertainment, etc. are much more important to me than the decorations or size of rooms.
  3. Any idea how many passengers does it seem busy or empty
  4. Keith - we all appreciate your help but make sure your enjoyment on these cruises are your primary activity. Thanks,
  5. Back to the new ships: Are we as forum members supposed to come up with or help with the names of the new ships?😀😆
  6. I'd like to see a restaurant whose menus change to reflect where the ship is cruising - local food in that place. I also would like to continue the Crystal traditional that all locations (other than laundry rooms) are available for all - no special places for top floor rooms only
  7. Back in 2019 we did a Tokyo to SF cruise - in a city in Japan (can't remember which( they had a model of Asuka II. Having traveled on Harmony it was really nice to see it - even if only a model
  8. Keith is a big help to us all but how about letting him enjoy his cruise rather than gathering pictures for us.
  9. Lets all remember that in all places and particularly new or newly setup areas adjustments will be made based upon usage and helpful comments people will make. The crew and staff have always been willing to listen to cruisers
  10. Keith - hope you and Anne Marie have a great and safe trip over to Europe where I hope you have a great cruise. Thanks for all your help and a great trip is a reward you deserve
  11. Feels to me as if we have traveled back 18 months and seeing a modern presentation of what we all loved.
  12. Sure doesn't look like an "old ship" maybe some of those comments will stop. Looks great
  13. The pictures are great - are they being sent by a member of the crew or are they from some "official" source?
  14. Great. On the other side. Today makes it 1 year since Symphony docked in Triest
  15. Absolutely right Shorex - it is the passengers and crew and how they treat each other that makes Crystal a great experience.
  16. For all's information - Anne Marie and Keith's blog now has information about their 2 upcoming Serenity cruises - always an enjoy to follow
  17. Yes, maybe I'm a bit hung up on dress codes - the casual (non-formal) seems a bit more dressed up than before with requirement for jackets for men. Also seems strange on formal nights that even though it is suits or tux - ties are optional. Time will tell but to me - I'm not saying shorts or jeans in the evening but not sure I really want to get dressed up every night on a cruise.
  18. Serenity has left Triest where she has been for about a year undergoing refurbishment and drydock. Headed for Montenegro YEAH
  19. Are women here finding the effective dress code for them has also changed as it seems to have for men.
  20. Gee if she does her job, which I'm sure she will, we'll have different food pictures on this forum. Good, healthy vs. good and gooey
  21. If they are really having a new dress code (both men and women) and are going to enforce it they better make sure people are aware of this change in policy. A lot of Crystal cruisers don't read this site and if they get on a cruise with several formal nights and find they aren't allowed in the dining room there will be a lot of very unhappy people and probably some bad press about this. Not sure what the communications mechanism should be but it should be clear and early in the reservation / ticketing process letting people know this change to policy.
  22. I think Crystal will have issues with this "more formal" dress code than they used to have the last few years. Sports jackets, no ties, was acceptable and probably more common for men. I'm not even sure I own a fitting suit anymore since where does anyone wear a suit anymore (wedding maybe). I"m not sure I'll buy a suit just to wear a couple of nights on a cruise.
  23. Hard to believe these days but you used to be able to rent and pick up a tux while on one of the Crystal ships
