the 25% discount is on all excursions (might be one or two that don't) - the discount price is listed for each excursion so you can check...

Thank you for your idea - so shore excursion are one price and there is no discount for booking several. Still include the SBC for shore excursions and it comes off bottom line as is the case now.

Still don't understand - you would prefer that they do not offer any discount for booking more excursions or offering an all in excursion package? SM does simplify it though by giving a bottom line credit rather than trying to figure out which excursion fits the OLife perk of so many shore excursions included pricing. As you said, figuring out the OLife excursion option was a learning curve and this has now been eliminated.

To be honest, I don't think anyone knows the details of how this will relate with the new SM program. Until someone actually books/converts a cruise as their "free" cruise and gets their final travel summary a few weeks before boarding will we know exactly how it is handled. As of now, your free cruise does not include any OLife perks but does include all of your loyalty perks. The loyalty perks, in particular the OBC, is not posted to your account until a week or two before embarkation so can not use for any pre- booking of excursions. Since you are not sailing until 2025 and your booking will not be converted to your free cruise with the pro-rating until about 6 months before sailing, there will be plenty of others that will report back in the next 18 - 24 months on how it worked. Congratulations on earning your free cruise!

It is the same excursion package as before that gave you a discount if you booked a certain number of cruises .....book a few , no discount.....book several and receive a discount.....purchase unlimited package and book all you want. When you are done choosing what works for you, your SM shore excursion credit is deducted and you pay the difference. Nothing has changed.

Steamboats did a very long and inclusive review of VISTA from her cruise and shared with all of us. It is noted that the review is in German but it translates to English very easily. If you note, they are from Germany so their native language...

Crunching the numbers and looking at overall picture is the only way to evaluate current booked cruises - in the future decision will be easy...with air or no air.

Unfortunately it has expired and is no longer offered...it is impossible to know what promotions will be offered in the future...I think O will have their hands full with implementing SM for now.

A couple questions - is your original pricing the old OLife cruise only (which I believe is how you book)? Is the pricing when you booked or last week? In order for someone to correctly understand your example, these are important details. When I compared the 5 cruises we have booked for the future, I wrote down the pricing for those cruises with OLife from last week, The pricing on several of our cruises had already increased plus we had booked 2 under Extraordinary Savings so that also effected our pricing.. The pricing had increased minimally or not at all when compared to recent pricing but on some of our booked cruises had gone up much more. Obviously if you booked using "old cruise only" then the SM new pricing will be an increase, just as when you compared "Cruise only" with OLife, Cruise Only was less expensive before SM.

What existing SBC are you discussing? If it was SBC from a promotion and you are now switching to SM, then yes you give up the amenities of your old promotion. This is the same as before, booked under Extraordinary Savings and then switch to 4 category upgrade - you lose the amenities of ES and gain the amenities if the 4 category upgrade. If you are talking about loyalty SBC or TA given SBC then you keep those,.

If you are booked under the old OLife program, you will receive the "amenities" you booked under so 1 WIFI log in per cabin.

The SM shore excursion credit is applied to the bottom line cost of what ever excursions you choose. The Simply More Shore Excursion Package replaces the YWYW excursion package of the past where you receive a discount for booking several excursions. The Unlimited package price is the price if you have purchased the Unlimited Package......I believe your screen shot is a glitch as the price is the same for every option.. I believe the wide discrepancy in reported pricing is people are comparing the "old" cruise only fares combined with a promotion (4 category upgrade sale, Extraordinary Savings, etc.) booked awhile ago to todays SM pricing. While others are comparing what the pricing was recently with OLife ( one amenity) . There have been price increases in the last 6 months so that complicates comparison also. Bottom line is when someone is ready to book their next cruise, does the price for the cruise on O with SM compared to a cruise on a different line provide good overall value to you. If not, then you will move on to a different line - if yes, then you will book with O. Whatever the choice, enjoy!

Onboard bookings have best price guarantee so you will keep your Onboard booking discount and OBC if you switch to SM.....but if you also booked under a promotion (4 cabin upgrade, Extraordinary Savings, etc.) you would lose the amenities that came with those promotions when switching to SM.
