  1. TravelGuard offers medical upgrade for evacuation to hospital of choice and also a security rider to deal with political unrest on several of their policies
  2. Luckily, they did leave some PHS with bathtubs so the opportunity is still there for some lucky soul! Penthouse Suites and Staterooms with the bathtub and shower: PH3: 9138, 9145, 10002, 10003, 10004, 10005, 10008, 10009, 10010, 10011
  3. Someone with direct access to O - sorry can't be more specific
  4. Glad you got it worked out - if the soda you are requesting is not one normally carried onboard, they need time to acquire and have it at the dock to load. We have run into instances where our request was not available at the embarkation port so they could not handle but that is rare.
  5. Yes - they can bring anything....also so can room service (if butler not available)
  6. Sounds like you have tried all of the angles - as long as it is on your invoice (take a copy with you) you will be fine. As you said, you didn't need it book shore excursions so enjoy onboard. I have 3 upcoming O cruises and the shareholder is reflected the same on both the invoice and website booking. These had it added in May all on the same day. Maybe same person handled all 3 and entered in the same manner.
  7. In my experience, my TA has handled it and put the request in several weeks prior to boarding. The requested drinks were in our fridge upon arrival, I believe your TA was incorrect.
  8. Sorry - never had a bath drawn or our suitcases unpacked or packed.......a little too personal . but it does sound luxurious
  9. Correct but the total amount of credits should be the same on the invoice and the website booking - the only credit that is listed under amenities on the invoice that does not show up on either the invoice or booking is the OBC received in lieu of pre-paid gratuities ( the amount is reflected in the description). This amount will appear on your shipboard account and can't be used until after boarding.
  10. On my invoice it is listed as : - US$125 Shareholder Shipboard Credit * On the credits in the booking on the website it is listed as "Complimentary shipboard credit" The total amount of credits is the same amount on the invoice as on the website booking. So your credits on the website are $250.00 less than the credits on your invoice? If that is the case, I would contact O or have your TA contact them to get it corrected.
  11. Thanks to a suggestion several years ago found on CC, we have typed up an introductory letter for our butler (when we have one). This has been in PH's not upper suites, It includes our personal information, cruise history and a brief list of items we would like plus our usual daily schedule. They all have appreciated this. If we are going to want to eat in, we try to check with the butler a day ahead so he/we can pick a time that works for both...some times we find out he already has several suites requesting meals so we change to a different day. Some of the things we have on our list: 1) Coffee, tea and fresh fruit delivered to the room around 7:30AM ( notify ahead of time if we are going on an excursion so time needs to be changed) 2) plate of grapes daily 3) his choice of our afternoon canapé along with fresh ice and fresh wine glasses 4) Perrier and lemon slices stocked in fridge daily We also try to find about he/she and their life which has given us the ability to learn about their country, etc. We have been lucky to have had the same butler on different cruises and ask about how family, children, etc, are doing. Not intrusive just recognizing them as people not just butlers. Hope this gives you some insight for any future cruise with a butler.
  12. Interesting as it shows up on all of our bookings as a credit - it states it is "complimentary shipboard credit" not NCHL shareholder credit. I have used if for purchasing shore excursions in advance - just did a week ago for October cruise.
  13. The new offering is being called "Simply More".......
  14. The price is the same - no discount for purchasing ahead of time.
  15. No they are older teens and young adults, all have traveled internationally a lot and so that is not the issue. We take them traveling with us often so have all of the necessary notarized papers on file. It is the basic planning for a cruise - shore excursions, dining , specialties, etc.....you name it and it has been one problem after another.
  16. Taking Grandchildren on Princess to Alaska - their hoops to jump through make O look like a walk in the park.....on top of that, many things can only be done on their app, which is very glitchy and does not work most of the time. We are Elite on Princess so not our first cruise with them but our TA and I have spent many days on the phone trying to get things fixed....and still not correct.
  17. That would only make sense if they gave you OBC and you used it on the current cruise and then you cancel the cruise, you should have to "give back" the OBC perk for booking the canceled cruise onboard. I can't think anyone would think that they should not have to return the OBC they received for booking a cruise on board and then canceled the cruise. Not rocket science to me ....
  18. The benefits of booking onboard are a discount on the booked cruise, OBC that can be used on the current cruise or the new cruise, best price guarantee and you can change the booking one time to any new cruise and the benefits follow. We always buy trip insurance to cover our deposit at the time of booking for the pre-existing conditions waiver and then increase the coverage when we make final payment. You can book any time onboard but the longer you wait the longer the line at the Cruise consultant desk......try to go at least several days before end of cruise to avoid the long wait!
  19. I believe that it is the terms and conditions of the fare that was booked that determines if NCLH shareholder credits can be combined. If you are looking at booking or having your TA book, a cruise, check the terms and conditions of the specific offer to see what can be combined. Our TA always send us a copy of the fare terms and conditions and highlights those exemptions that she knows are of interest to us - NCHL shareholder and AMEX cruise privileges...
  20. Thanks for link to the info - yes, it appears travel in Europe will be more challenging this Summer and Fall...
  21. I understand but she was asking about next Fall and so I stated if a strike was scheduled - a different situation than yours
  22. I would assume if there is a strike at a port and it is closed than O would have to change to another port - not a lot of options
  23. I found the link (actually LHT28 sent it to me) https://www-cruisediary-de.translate.goog/auf-taufreise-mit-der-vista/?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp. if you go pictures 122 -124 you will see the additional row of loungers plus the cubbies where there are more tables, chairs and loungers facing out towards the ocean
  24. Ours say "shareholder shipboard credit" and shows up on the Oceania invoice under "promotional amenities"
