I believe "steamboats" who posted the lovely review with pictures stated that there are more loungers under cover but don't show due to angle....I can't find where the discussion was but she stated there are definitely more than one row of shaded loungers. Hopefully someone that just sailed or sails soon will take pictures and give a definitive answer.
Generally they do not send a second email letting you know that it has been applied. I always go onto my Oceania account and check my booking and see it listed there within a few days of submitting.
I think in the interest of in depth research, we will have to spend lots of time in Baristas/Bakery checking out the cookies and other goodies this Fall.....tough assignment but we can do it 😃
Thank you for your reply - we are booked on a 12 deck concierge cabin on VISTA for 31 days this Fall and never been up there before.....did you have any noise from Horizons that is directly above? Wondering if you can hear the bands late in the evening? My biggest fear is that baristas and the new bakery are going to be way too handy!
Almost as bad as in the laundry room sometimes - don't mess with my spot in line (you should have known I was in line while I was sitting in a chair over by the shops).
A quick way to check if your "feeling" is correct is to go the O website and make a mock booking for your specific cruise and see what PH's are available. If you find that there is a PH 2 or PH3 available that does suit your needs, it is an easy process to get your booking changed to that cabin.
Cruiserchuck who asked the question obviously has not booked yet so my answer is relevant to their question and anyone else who receives an email concerning a promotion that has not booked yet...
What the fares were in the past are irrelevant, if you did not book then, what is relevant is what is the current price for the cruise and if the 20% is off of that......there have been several across the board fare increases the past months (not counting any specials, promos, etc.) so the 20% is indeed a savings if you want to book a cruise now .
Or maybe they are having such a good time that they don't have/want to take the time to post on CC....I think we will start seeing more reviews, comments, etc. in a few weeks as more people have returned from a VISTA cruise...but it is hard to wait for those of us (and you) that will be sailing on this beautiful ship this Summer and Fall. see you onboard!
It is also courteous to the room steward, who needs to get all of the cabins cleaned and ready for the next customers in very few hours., to have the cabin empty no later than 8AM ....we have notified our steward that we were heading up to breakfast a little after 7 and that we have left our carry ons on a chair out of the way. He/she is welcome to come into the room and start stripping the beds, etc while we are gone. We make sure we are back and out the door for good prior to 8AM with all our belongings.
So you are saying that a silent auction was announced and there were sign up sheets for your bids on the art work in the loft......I thought you indicated that the artist had put a price on the pieces in case someone was interested in purchasing. The artwork round the ship is definitely not for sale so you would only have seen prices on the art work in the loft. Perhaps you misunderstood when you saw a price on the art work and assumed it was like the silent auction art work on other ships.....
In a suite, you can pretty much order from any of the restaurants for any meal.....plus the room service menu....look at the menus for GDR and specialties for ideas.
Yes - we booked a cruise with the Ultimate sale , didn't realize that you had booked the Ultimate...for those that haven't booked that, it is good for them to know that the shore excursions can be worth a lot more than the OBC.
If you know you are going to book O excursions than you will get better "bang for your buck" by choosing the excursions option for your OLIfe perk.....with this option you can book any excursion up to $195.00USD per person (or there abouts) so if you will receive 3 excursions than that would be $195.00 x 3 = $585.00 versus $300.00 (just an example since I do not know how many free excursions are offered on your specific cruise)
