  1. We went with Bumpiing Tours, so don't know about cab fare. As for anything there, there was a trailer selling bottled water and maybe beer, and that was all. There's a small rocky shore, but no real beach to speak of. Great snorkeling, though!!:D

  2. Try taking the same things for a few days while not on a cruise. I have a friend that gets sick on Dramamine, but only after taking for about 3 days and building up in his system. He switched to ginger, and didn't get sick, or seasick.

I was just thinking the exact same thing, that it might be that you have a sensitivity or allergy to the drug you take for motion sickness. Easy to test for yourself at home. I can also attest to the success of taking ginger to prevent motion sickness. Good luck!:)

  3. I am not a strong swimmer, overweight, and not in good shape, but I LOVE to snorkel. I would advise you to wear a life vest of some kind, and you'll be fine. If you relax, the vest will make it effortless to float, and you'll just kick a little to move around.

Contrary to what some others have said here, I snorkeled directly off the beach at 7 mile Island and really enjoyed it. I don't know if the waters were unusually calm that day, but we had many more swells while snorkeling off boats. Can someone advise if it's usually more rough? I wouldn't want to give bad advice!!

  4. We worked with housekeeping; it was they who supplied me with the white duct tape. Housekeeping did the best that they could. I asked them to let maintenance know that a seal probably needed to be installed/replaced inside the little door.

COMP??? We would never consider asking to be comped for such a thing when sailing on the Enchantment. She is our favorite ship and crew; they have always treated us wonderfully. Everyone we have known on the EN has been professional and gracious. Had they offered we would have turned it down. It was ONLY a 4 day cruise.

We had a WONDERFUL cruise even with the odor.

Sorry to hear that we just missed you! We (my husband and two daughters) were on the Dec 27th cruise. I wish my husband could meet you two, after I told him all about you after the Monarch cruise last November where you were so charming to my girlfriend and me. We also love the Enchantment, and had a great cruise, too. Happy New Year!:D

  5. Sorry if this is a dumb question....but if you order OJ, cranberry juice, or apple juice and you don't have a drink package, do you get charged for it? :o

No charge during breakfast hours! I usually order an extra glass and keep it in my fridge for later in the afternoon. Actually, cranberry juice with champagne is even better than oj!

  6. Wow, your experience has been very different than mine. Usually is it NOT the room steward who brings breakfast, but a special delivery person. If we order something from room service later in the day, like a snack, then it has been the steward who brings it. And I have never, in quite a few X cruises, received a phone call asking if we received our order!! Must be dependent on the Hotel or F&B manager.

We almost always order room service for breakfast, and the only time it has been the steward delivering was when we had a Concierge room. This reminds me to ask: Is it still customary to tip a dollar or two when your steward is the one delivering? I did, but it felt awkward and he seemed surprised. I wondered if I insulted him.

  7. Not sure if I'm answering the question you asked, but here's what I do. It's partly because I'm "frugal" and partly because the rum and cokes are too strong for me. I buy a shot of rum and a can of coke with a glass of ice. I get 2-3 drinks for the price of roughly one drink. The shot is always cheaper than the rum and coke mixed drink, at least in my experience. So yes, I would think if you have the soda package, you could save money, but maybe only if you use less than a shot in your drink. Does that make sense?:D

  8. I don't think Celebrity is for our demographic. :). We're a young family of 3 and Disney cruisers. Just looking for an alternative due to DCL's outrageous price increases.

While there aren't as many children on Celebrity, there are quite a few. You might be surprised:) All the children I've seen on our three Celebrity cruises have seemed very happy.
