  1. Flat rate cab fare between MIA and POM was eliminated. Figure the meter fare will be about $30+. UberX or standard Lyft should be cheaper.
  2. Budget about $30+ for a Taxi and $20+ for Lyft or UberX
  3. TRi-Rail is an option for about $5 each as long as you can handle your own bags. Call your hotel to find out which stop is closest to your lodging - you'll need a taxi/Uber/shuttle for the last couple of miles.
  4. As mentioned above, just return the car and wait for the next shuttle. If this was a help you owe me a pint - do they still pour "heavy" at your local?
  5. Welcome to the boards! 😎 Car seats of booster seats are required if the vehicle has seat belts. The easy solution is to bring your own seat - that way you know it is sized correctly and has been well maintained. The airline will check the seat for free if you choose not to use it on your flight. If your toddler is big enough there are inflatable booster seats that will not take up much room in your stateroom and can be used at the various port visits. Some of the limo companies (South FLA limo and Larry's Limo are often suggested on this bord) may provide seats - for a price. 😬
  6. From South Beach you can take the Miami Airport Flyer bus to MIA for about $4 each. Uber and a taxi are also options from South Beach.
  7. Shuttle to the port - yes. To the airport - NO
  8. Plan on about 90 minutes from PC to parking your cr at whichever park you choose.
  9. Luggage Lounge in South Beach will hold your bags for a fee while you explore.
  10. Arriving late into MIA and just want a bed for the night? Have never stayed there, but it is often suggested on this board as a budget option near MIA. Fairly isolated, so plan on pizza or Chinese delivery for dinner (or walk over to the Embassy Suites where dinner will cost approximately the same as your room rate at the La Quinta).
  11. YVE is often mentioned on this board. I addition to those hotels suggested above I would also check out the Intercontinental, Doubletree Biscayne and the next door Marriott.
  12. Looks like it's near MIA, but it's not the one in the Blue Lagoon neighborhood - must be out near Doral. Google maps is your friend - hard to find any place in Miami that is not near a Publix, Walgreen or CVS where you can stock up.
  13. Your other option is to use two one-way rentals; drop the first one off downtown and shuttle to POM, the second one gets you home. Compare the cost of parking to the cost (and hassle) of two rentals. A few hotels out near the MIA airport offer parking deals. La Quinta East is the budget option most often suggested. Factor in the approx $30 cab ride to the port and another cab ride to get back to your car.
  14. MIA to the ES near PE - I am betting that the cab fare will be closer to $75-80+ UberX or Lyft might be in the $50-60 range.
  15. Super Shuttle went out of business before Covid. Besides a taxi your options are Uber or Lyft or, if you can handle your own bags, the Tri-Rail train from MIA to the FLL area (call your hotel to verify which stop is closest) and then either a taxi or the hotel shuttle for the last mile or so. If this helps you owe me a pint - whatever bitter your local pours will be fine! 😎
  16. You may need to wait a minute or two for a van taxi to make its way to the front of the line.
  17. Book the dolphin thing as early as possible and then cab from there to Nachi. If some in your group don't want to make the dolphin stop, they can cab separately to Nachi. Taxis are well regulated on Cozumel (unlike the crooks in Philly! 😡).
  18. I would look into the Brightline train if I was flying out of PBI - much nicer than sitting in I-95 traffic and you have the time.
  19. 1. www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area hotel info. Common advice here is to not focus on shuttles as the distances are short and a taxi should be cheap (under $20 from FLL to PE) 2. You can ask the hotel you stay at pre-cruise or check www.resortpass.com for hotels/resorts offering day passes to their pool/beach/spa facilities - tip them to store your bags while you swim, relax and grab lunch/drinks.
  20. No problems with space - those just getting off the ship will leave lots of open spaces in your garage.
  21. There are some day pass web site you can check - between9and5.com is one. Resortpass.com will connect you with hotels selling day passes to their pool/spa/beach facilities - if you can work poolside or in the business center it might work for you.
  22. Depending upon traffic about 15-20 minutes. Uber should be a few dollars cheaper than a cab.
  23. CORTRANS is another often suggested shared shuttle option between MCO and Cocoa Beach/PC. A one-way car rental is also an option. The later you arrive in Orlando, the fewer shared shuttle options you will find. You might consider staying near MCO and then making your way to the port in the morning.
