  1. There will be a line of cabs waiting as you exit the terminal with bags.
  2. If you don't want to use timeshare a taxi from MIA to FLL area will run about $75-80+ on the meter. There will be a line of cabs waiting outside of the airport.
  3. The common advice here's is park at POM. Too many stories of no show shuttles, lost reservations and damaged cars to risk off site parking in Miami. Hope your cruise went better than your parking experience.
  4. Call your hotel to verify the closest station to their location. Maybe their shuttle can pick you up there, or a taxi will be cheap. You need to handle your own bags on the train. Or maybe it's worth it to spend about $75 for a Taxi or Uber?
  5. Taxi or UberXL will run about $75+. Or take the Tri-Rail train to MIA and maybe your hotel shuttle for the last part of the trip. I agree with Ashland above - why the effort to stay at a hotel near MIA (a dreary area at best) when it's much simpler and cheaper to stay near FLL and use WAS or another shuttle to POM in the morning?
  6. Yes, as does any shuttle with seat belts. Tip the driver a bit extra for the time spent installing and uninstalling your car seats.
  7. Grab a taxi to the airport - van cabs are the same fare as the standard cabs - should be about $30 on the meter. Shuttles will charge per person and will wind up costing more and will likely drop you at the departures part of MIA, not the car rental center.
  8. Just TPA - PIE is a long haul from there.
  9. Cheapest option near MIA often suggested on this board is the La Quinta East - nothing nearby except the Embassy Suites, but you can have dinner/pizza delivered. Good hunting!
  10. Unless the mall is a big attraction choose the Mary Brickell area, with lots of local dining and shopping options. Taxi from MIA should cost about $25+ on the meter, or about $20+ using Uber or Lyft. The Hampton Inn offers a shared shuttle to the port of you can grab a taxi for about $15+.
  11. Cocoa Beach Shuttle and CORTRANS are two often suggested shared shuttle options to get from MCO and area hotels to PC.
  12. You could stay near FLL and then take a shared shuttle like SAS to POM for about $15 each then next morning. To get from FLL to your MIA area hotel you can take a taxi (about $75+) or an Uber or Lyft (about $55+, unless surge pricing makes it more expensive than the metered fare on the cab) or ride the Tri-Rail train (about $5 each) to MIA and then rely on the hotel shuttle.
  13. Since you will have time in between you could save a few $$ by using a shared shuttle (like SAS and others) from POM to FLL - should be about $15 per person. Then taxi or Uber from FLL to PE (about $15-20 for the cab). Your call.
  14. The flat rate fare between port and MIA was recently discontinued, so expect to pay about $30+ on the meter.
  15. Only hotels near the MIA airport (are you flying into MIA or FLL?) will offer airport shuttles. Those are a good option if you just want dinner and a bed, but you won't see much/anything of Miami. Hotels in the Blue Lagoon area near MIA are often suggested - Hampton Inn is a cross the street from a strip mall with dining, fast food plus grocery/liquor and drug stores for any cruise shopping you may need to do. When do you cruise and what's your budget? Prices vary with the season - the $300+ room in Feb can go for $100 or less in August.
  16. You will not have any trouble getting a taxi - if none are waiting the staff at Chank can call one - should be there in about 2 minutes.
  17. Lots of hotels near the airport (Westshore area) that will be about a $25 cab ride from the port. YOu can also look at the Rocky Point area near TPA.
  18. Uber or Lyft for about $50+ Or taxi/Uber to FLL and catch a shared shuttle (SAS, etc.) for about $15 per person.
  19. SAS for about $15 per person or UberX or Lyft for about $45-50 for door-to-door service. Your call!
  20. News source? More details? Tourist involvement?
  21. Pre-virus Chase Suites and others in the Rocky Point area offered both airport and port shuttles. Call to see if they still offer those services.
