Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thanks all for the good wishes. Staying busy and remembering all the cruises and travel we did. DH loved to travel and we went lots of lovely places. I read this thread every day just don't post often, fee like I know all of you! Barbara
  2. Thank you grapau27 for the beautiful poem. Today is one year since I lost DH. It will be a rough day, but your post makes it a bit easier.
  3. So sorry for your loss. You will meet again!
  4. We spent five days at Glacier Bay Lodge a few years ago. Some nights it was hard to go to bed, a lot to see! It is worth every minute for me to go to bed earlier than usual just to see and hear birds and animals in the morning.
  5. I would think HAL would consider that as a fire hazard. I have one like that and love it!
  6. No itinerary for each cruise I have booked. Just get a "error page". Very frustrating!
  7. To be very clear, one of the people traveling with me was a 13 year old girl and the other is handicapped. It would have been difficult to manage if they had not been able to board with us. The both were first-time cruisers.
  8. We were able to board together (priority) in Seattle last year. One NS and one balcony cabin. Just ask nicely!
  9. Bring a couple of clips to keep them together if the light bothers you. Always have some in my bag.
  10. Having been to Alaska quite a few times, both land and sea, rj59 has given you great advice. Alaska is unpredictable, especially the weather, and prepare for anything in one day.
  11. We started with a Carnival cruise in 1973, then cruised RCCL, Monarch, Cunard, Oceania and HAL. Even with ALZ, DH told me not to stop cruising and enjoy every minute. I am working on that with two cruises booked!
  12. The museum at the State Capital is excellent. Within walking distance.
