Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. his is a public service post for anyone that wants to use a shuttle in FLL in the future. DO NOT USE Metro Shuttle! Maurice is the owner. Very prompt with calls and quotes. Likes to use text messaging for communication, but will send an email confirmation I talked to him several times. I had a head count change the last week before a cruise, so I called him and we agreed on a price. He asked me to text him the details, which I did, and he texted back “ok”. The day of pick up at the hotel, he didn’t send enough van seating, so some of us had to wait on another van. We had to wait an extra 45 mins and when we contacted them it was always “he is 5 mins away” Then on the way to the port, he calls me and changes the price. I referenced the texts we had exchanged. He didn’t care. I paid him what he asked because he had my CC on file, but the extra money I had was for the tip. We didn’t want the driver to be shorted, so our van paid extra to tip the driver. He also goes by Fort Lauderdale Shuttle, and a couple others. But the best way is to look at the phone number. He uses it for each one. I found a couple of reviews on him and he did the same to them. 🤬 1 (954) 600-1562 Avoid this number like the plague.
  2. Can you tell me a little more about the bus trip. Company and price maybe if you remember
  3. We are in the early stages of booking an Alaska cruise for our 35th anniversary. We have always sailed to the Caribbean. Sailing into warm waters we are used to sitting by the pool and deck games. Obviously sailing to Alaska that wouldn’t be the case. My question is do they have our door activities? Are there more indoor activities then normal? Also any advice on sailings for Alaska would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  4. Have a cruised booked for August on Carnival. Looking to get insurance in case my wife or I test positive on our precruise test. However we cant get it through Carnival because we live in NY. I tried InsureMyTrip but they said I would have to get "cancel for any reason" BUT I have to cancel 48-72 hours before cruise. I believe Carnival requires a test 24 hours prior to sailing. Any advice? Has anyone from NY dealt with this?
