  1. @GenerationX - I can't find the quote but you said you aren't planning on eating in Blu very much on this cruise. Since the Aqua cabins still have the dreaded Infinite balcony I'm curious why you upgraded to Aqua on this cruise?
  2. So excited to wake up to find a new review by @GenerationX!!! I hope you realized that you got an extra hour last night!
  3. This is from another thread about MoveUp offers. Does anyone know if you upgrade this way do all of the benefits of the upgraded cabin kick in? Another question - can you use an FCC from a cancelled cruise (from the cash portion we actually paid) towards a MoveUp?
  4. So, if we're currently in Aqua with wifi, drinks and gratuities and a ton of OBC and move up to a suite we keep everything we have and also get access to Luminae and the retreat?
  5. You're supposed to put it in a paper bag. I'm not positive but I think I was told to put it in there for a week. it can then be re-used. N-95s or KN94s.
  6. I know lots of people say masks don't prevent disease but I took a three week seminar this summer where ,after the first several days , where the majority of people were unmasked , Covid ran rampant. None of us who masked faithfully while inside the very full seminar rooms got sick. Coincidence - maybe.
  7. We did that cruise in Feb. 2020. Because of the limited news access we were pretty much unaware of the unfolding epidemic until we returned home. However, by the last nine sea days home many, many people (including my husband) were coughing and sick. They told everyone it was the flu. I'm still glad we did it because we got to spend two days on Bora Bora and they no longer allow the larger ships access. I think Tahiti is my favorite place in the world.
  8. Thank you Jim! I think you've answered ALL of my questions!!!
  9. Related question (that I should have asked in the first place). If you test positive on the first leg of a B2B do they allow you to stay on the ship for the second leg?
  10. My husband got the "flu" on a cruise in Feb. 2020. (We still think it might have been Covid because the symptoms fit and he came home with Pneumonia). They gave him Tamiflu and an antibiotic which totaled almost $400. So I'm not surprised by $800 for Paxlovid. Thank goodness we have GeoBlue!!!!
  11. Thanks Jim. Just clarifying that the negative spouse was given the choice to isolate in the original cabin with the sick spouse or move to an inside cabin and still be able to go about normal activities around the ship. Were they at least asked to mask? (Which I would do anyways)
  12. My husband took it and didn't rebound but I think he took it either very close to the end of that 5 day window or maybe after. He didn't end up in the hospital (with some pre-existing conditions that might have led to that ) so something worked!
  13. For recent cruisers. Has Celebrity changed it's Covid protocols to allow sick cruisers to remain in their own cabin? Also I haven't seen any mention of whether Paxlovid is available in the medical facility. Just trying to prepare for worst case scenario. Thanks!
  14. OH - It looks from your photos like they've ruined two of my favorites! 😪 Maybe it's a good thing - I'll finally come home from a cruise without a 10 lb. weight gain.
