That would be great! Do you have a link to that information? Would like to print out a copy to store with the ones I have. Thanks
Hope this works...otherwise, just google "BinaxNow AG expiration"

The FDA granted an extension such that the expiration dates are now 12 months from the date of manufacture

We sailed on the Edge's Celebrity Suite on the October 9th sailing. We had cabin 11101, port side and under Luminae. No noise, no disturbance from Luminae, no smoke on the balcony. The only downside, at least on our cruise, we always docked on the starboard side. We have since booked a CS on the Apex for January, and will be on the starboard side.

If you are in a suite, can you make reservations at the MDR to try it out, using the app? Not sure yet if we will be in a suite or Aqua/Blu.
Not sure about making the reservation through the app, but we just got back from an October sailing on the Edge with two other couples and all of us were in Celebrity Suites. Both our friends dined in one of the main dining rooms and they just asked our Butler to make the reservations for them....no problem.

Excellent. That is what I refer to as "wheeling and dealing".
Yup...just never thought Celebrity had it in themselves to do that

Funny how everybody one talks to has a different number. We got the 1100 figure for this cruise from Capt. Costas on stage one evening. The difference between booking directly and finding a TA. Is finding a TA that will 'wheel and deal.'
I've always used an online TA. One in particular seems to always have the highest OBC as a way of "discounting" the rates. This time, I wanted some specific info about cabin locations, so I called Celebrity and spoke to a salesperson. At the end of the conversation, I informed him that I would love to book through him, but the online TA offered substantial additional OBCs and was therefore a much better deal than what Celebrity was offering. Long story short, they checked my online TA site and then matched it. Surprised the heck out of me. The Celebrity sales rep has been most responsive during the entire process (even after booking and paying).

Found out this morning from the waiters that your cruise will have "slightly" more guests than this cruise (1100). The only cruise, in the foreseeable future, with less guests will be last cruise in November.
Thank you for checking and thanks again for your reports. I actually communicated with my Celebrity Agent (first time I ever booked directly with a cruise line) two days ago and he told me they have around 850 confirmed. Either way, we are more than ready to board!

Loving your reports (and pictures). We will be on the next sailing (Oct 9th). Any word on expected number of passengers?

I'm no lawyer, but I believe there is a difference between Celebrity outright defying the Governor's Executive Order and Celebrity adhering to requirements of ports to which they are sailing.

Thank you all.....feel like I have options now, as I suspect Duffy's will be a zoo.
-
Staying at the Embassy Suites in Ft. Lauderdale on Super Bowl Sunday. Looking for a place to have dinner and watch the game (at least the first half). I know Duffy's is right next to the hotel and I'll try them first. But...should they be too crowded to accommodate the two of us, I would appreciate some suggestions for an alternative.

Cost is per person and well worth it. Left the ship with only our carry-on luggage and didn't see our actual luggage until we went to the luggage carousel after landing at our home airport.
-
We have done it on each of our last two cruises. You can do it at the beverage package table just as you enter the ship, or at one of the bars. No problem...easy.

Ben Powney is CD currently on Eclipse.
Andy told me today he will be posting soon.
Sea day today; St. Lucia tomorrow.
Kathy
Thank you, Kathy...enjoy the rest of your cruise!

Sue is already on vacation, isn't she? Ben should be cruise direc tor by now
Sue was due to leave after the TA, so she should be off already. I heard it was supposed to be Ben Powney, but thought I'd check with those aboard now to confirm.

Andy or Kathy,
We will be on the Eclipse over Xmas and New Years. I heard Sue Denning was leaving on vacation after the TA. Who is the new CD?
-
We have an on-board credit, so I will wait to upgrade until we get on the ship. Can't use the on-board credit prior to boarding.

Gotta tell you. This is better than nothing if you're a heavy drinker, but comparatively speaking, it's a lousy plan (IMHO). We have sailed the last three times on Celebrity. Each time, my wife and I got their ultimate package. The regular price is $53 plus 15% gratuity, but about 2 times a year, they have a 10% off sale and you can pre-purchase, making their price about the same as NCL. Celebrity's plan includes all spirits (mixed or straight) that are priced at $12 or less. If you pick something that is priced higher, then they charge you only the difference. I'm a Belvedere Vodka drinker....no problem. Virtually all specialty drinks were priced at $12 or less, so they were included. All coffees (including specialty coffee), sodas, beer (think it had to be $6 or less), wine ($12 or less), as well as bottled water, were included. A much better program than NCL's. Hopefully, NCL will look at their competitors and improve their program. As it stands now, I won't buy it.

So...maybe the new CD on the Eclipse is Patti Honacki?
-
I noticed from his Facebook page, that Jason Ward left the Eclipse this morning for vacation. Anybody know who the new CD will be? He mentions he is handing off to Patti. Curious as we board her for her next sailing.

Hey all,
We were at HMC on Dec 16 and dug around the back 40 of the cabana and came up empty...although we may have missed a spot or two.
We actually brought our little treasure and ended up forgetting it onboard - doh!!! My DH said he would go back and fetch it but the 'Drunken Whale' did its job and none of us were in any shape to go back and get it ;)
So, in theory, lggfly's treasure may still be there and we just missed it! Hopefully it'll get found :) Or, we aren't being secretive enough and our treasures are being pinched by pirates ;)
I suspect we aren't being secretive enough. My treasure was buried almost right up against the left (as you are facing the cabana) corner (just behind). It wasn't buried that deep, so if you dug there, you'd find it. Too bad.
We are a martini family, so we left a small bottle of Belvidere Vodka and 2 plastic martini glasses. Hope someone is enjoying it!

Lon, you buried your treasure exactly where we buried ours. If it was there, you wouldn't have had any problems finding it.
Thanks. I suspect someone got to it first, because I dug right up against the corner post and went fairly deep. Nothing there. When I say the back left side, I am talking left as you are facing the cabana (with your back to the sea). Oh well, hopefully the next person finds our treasure.

Just curious. What other cruise line uses Half Moon Cay? Is this true for all the "private islands".
Ned,
From what we were told (we befriended a former "executive" of HAL on our cruise), HAL owns this island, so no other cruise lines use it. They paid $2 Mil for it and added about another $3 Mil in improvements. It is really nice...not like the other private islands we've been to.

Just back from Half Moon Cay. I guess I'm a bit "thick" but I was under the impression there were four support posts and I was to dig just inside the rear post on the left (as you are facing the cabana). Well, there are a lot more than 4 support posts. In fact, there are four across the front and at least 3 going from front to back (on each side). The rear support, really doesn't look like a support as it looks like its on a slab (as you dig, however, there really is a support there). And you can't get to the inside of the rear support (we will add pictures so everyone sees what we mean).
I dug everywhere I could imagine, and found nothing. However, we did bury our "treasure" just behind the left rear corner of the cabana. I hope whoever finds it, enjoys it. Its a little "taste" of our favorite past-time.
