Regarding open seating, we observed an interesting pattern on the WC. In the early days of the voyage, there were many people doing open seating and we had an interesting variety of table mates. As time went on, many of the open seaters made arrangements to a fixed table. This reduced the number of diners that were really available to sit wherever. So you tended to sit with a smaller selection of other open seaters.
