  1. Thanks for the good wishes. It’s been a long thirteen months since we booked. Can’t wait to be onboard….. Bob
  2. Thank you Joe. We are definitely looking forward to it. Please give Holli’s and my regards to Jak….. Bob Thanks for the good wishes. On Sunday I’ll be in my happy place; aboard a Princess ship….. Bob
  3. An early good morning from Northern AZ. Only about 27.5 hours till hitting the road to San Pedro. It’s kind of strange to say that as usually I’m saying “A certain number of hours to go till wheels up.” As expected, when I get this close to a cruise, I get little sleep; just too much to get excited about. I’ve got a few errands to run today and then I’ll be set. I’m done packing; we’ll sort of as I’m waiting for Holli to tell me she ran out of room in her suitcases. That’s all for now. Hope all are well….. Bob
  4. In Full suites and mini suites there is a small grab bar. Not sure about balcony cabins and below..... Bob
  5. We will be tendering in Kona. I'll try and let you know who the Cultural Ambassador(s) are when I get onboard..... Bob
  6. Good afternoon all from Prescott Valley Arizona. I'm back for another one. Holli & I will be boarding the Sapphire Princess on Sunday for our R/T Hawaii cruise. We will be headed to San Pedro on Friday for a two night stay at the Hilton Doubletree prior to boarding. Not much planned for our two day stay other than to get excited for the cruise. We do plan to dine at our favorite area restaurant (22ND Street Landing) the night before boarding. I decided to start this thread a few days early out of excitement and so I could start compiling a list of questions anyone would care to post. This will be our fourth time doing this itinerary. We absolutely love the sea days. We are super stoked to be sailing in the GS aboard the Sapphire. This will be our third time sailing in the GS. Absolutely love the large aft view balcony the GS offers. It is getting a little harder to book this cabin as there are only three ships left in the fleet that have the aft GS. The fourth (Grand Princess) has the GS along the side of the ship. That's all for now. Please feel free to fire away with any questions you may have. Only about 40 hours till we hit the road for our drive to San Pedro..... Bob
  7. Just got off the phone with Princess regarding upgrading my upcoming Premier cruise package to cover the new added non grandfathered items. My cruise is in October and is a 15 day cruise to Hawaii r/t out of San Pedro. Final payment has obviously been made. The total cost for both of us (if we had booked with Princess) was $130ish. Since I used a T/A, the cost went up to $162 due to the T/A’s commission. Since the cost was reasonable, I took the plunge and upgraded….. Bob
  8. I have the Premier package on my next two sailings so the charges do not affect me personally. I think however that what Princess is doing is absolutely terrible. For those without a package a nearly $15.00 fee for the privilege of ordering food/beverage items from the app. Then to rub some salt into the wounds a $5.00 fee each time you order something for delivery? This a direct slap in the face of loyal Princess cruisers….. Bob
  9. Yes there sure is. I missed it when I made my post. Thanks for the heads up….. Bob
  10. Does anyone know the point of contact for the new Sun Princess? It’s In regards to setting up a Meet & Greet….. Bob
  11. 139 and a bag drag till the GS on the Sapphire….. Bob
  12. Hi Joe. I was feeling a lot better yesterday but did a little backsliding today. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow..... Bob
  13. I wore a mask off the ship and she did not. Holli was not positive until I gave her a home test Sunday night when we got home (AZ). She tested negative on the ship when I tested positive. Should she have worn a mask; probably, but I honestly didn't think about because I was feeling rather lousy when we got off the ship. Bob
  14. Thanks Frank. Your words of encouragement are much appreciated. We just got home an hour or so ago. When we arrived, I gave Holli a test and she was positive….. Bob
  15. Thanks Lew. It definitely isn't something I'm enjoying..... Bob
  16. Good evening from the Royal Princess. Well the dreaded last night night is here. Sorry my reports have slackened, but yesterday and today I've felt like crap. Chills (they are the worst symptoms) come and go and this dreaded dry cough. I also am going through bouts of having very little energy to do anything. It was quite a chore to get our checked luggage packed or to even type this post. With the exception of testing positive for COVID, I've really enjoyed this cruise. The crew was top notch. Everyone seemed genuinely happy and loved doing their best to make sure we had a great cruise. I'll write a review later when we get home and I feel a little better. That's all for now. Next up is Hawaii in October on the Sapphire in the GS..... Bob
  17. Well I'll be spending the last two days of my cruise in the cabin. Darn luck..... Bob
  18. An early good morning from the Royal Princess. We are sailing towards our final port stop of Cabo San Lucas. We will be here from 0800 -1700 and this will be a tendered port. While in Cabo, I am going to try and hook up with a former coworker who is sailing on the Carnival Panorama. They will also be in port from 0700-1400. Yesterday was our stop in Mazatlan. Holli's back was bothering her so we unfortunately did not get off the ship. We ended up just hanging out in the cabin and later enjoying the Suite happy hour in the Concierge lounge. For dinner we dined in the Crown Grill. Holli had the Surf & Turf (which she enjoyed) while I initially ordered something listed as a 16oz "Beef Chop." It was basically a very thin bone in ribeye. I know food is a very subjective issue, but my steak was truly bad and inedible. Nearly half of the steak was nothing but gristle and fat. The quality of the steak reminded me of something you would get at Norms or Denny's. Our waiter however was great as he saw that I was not enjoying my selection. He readily replaced it with a filet that was absolutely delicious. After dinner we wandered aroun d the Pizza and enjoyed some music before calling it a night and returning to the cabin. That's all for now. I hope all are well..... Bob
  19. Here are the Tissot offerings in the Facets store that someo ne was asking earlier about..... Bob
